when i load the bg into page 12 on the 16x16
editor and open the bg editor,when i try to paste
a part of the graphics it says:
tile 0x12B1 is not within the current BG map16 page
how do i put it in the bg editor?

Haha, now some n00b bg questions! When I go to paste tiles into the BG editor the page changes. How do I prevent that from happening?

You just find the map 16 page with the BG on it and press page up and down until your on the page with the BG tiles. Then you select a tile on the map 16 and paste it on the BG with a right click. Make your BG and enjoy!

You know, it would be cool if someone made a sword sprite(s) and released it to the public. That would help a lot of people........ Now that I think about it, that would be perfect for C3! (Not that I could program a sword sprite)
Another problem from the n00b.
I completed my 1st level and when I went to move onto my second level the tiles on the first level are practically invisible and I fall through them, can I get some help???

I don't really understand you question, but maybe that's because the picture doesn't show up... Here's how to upload a picture:
Go to a picture hosting site, like photobucket.com (which requires registering) or imageshack.us (which doesn't). Uploading a picture should be self-explanatory. Then paste the picture's address in [img] tags.

I haven't been saving the Map16/Map16G pages for any of the hacks (I already had the files, and I didn't think you needed seperate ones for each set of ExGFX). I think that might be the problem, is it?

I posted this in another thread, I am using the Cnady Constellation FG from Kirby and the Amazing mirror. Im trying to make a ExGfx tile behave like a slope. But when I test the level out, I go right through the tile.
after you choose what it acts like,did you paste(right-click)
it over the same contellation tile thing?

Alright. You say clean, but just how clean does your ROM have to be. Does it mean NO Custom Music? If so, how did the creator of Brutal Mario pull it off?
I'm not sure if your'e refering to inserting ExGFX or something else, but your rom doesn't have to be clean at all, I have tons of custom stuff, yet i can still insert ExGFX.
I wanted to use the smb3 underground exgfx, inserted the palette and now that happened:



How can I fix this problem... I have this with all other exgfxs files, too. I didn't get that some months before, but now...

It is one thing which makes me struggle.

Try Pac's Graphics Ripping Tutorial(in the documents section), and if you're still having problems, then go ahead and ask.
That realy helped... but i have another question :(
¿How can i rip EXGFX from games in other consoles, gba for example?
For that, open the rom in a gba emulator, take screenshots of the tiles you want, and then just follow Kaeru's tutorial

Hope this helps =P

I also forgot how to enable 8bpp... how do I do that again? I think that's the reason!
Do you mean 4bpp? I think you can do taht by extracting and re-inserting the GFX once.
