I found an unused music track... possibly meant to be used in Zephyr Manor.

While ripping SPCs from SMWCP (I took the easy way and just kept changing the music number in "Mario's House"), I noticed that Track 30 (Shy-Guy's Toybox) wasn't used ANYWHERE in the hack... and yet it's still in there... alone...

Why?

My theory is it was supposed to go with Zephyr Manor's bonus area but never made it. My proof of this is that this particular area is the ONLY area in the hack WITHOUT CUSTOM MUSIC.

In other words: 1 unused custom song; 1 sublevel without custom music; the music fits the sublevel...

I think this is an interesting enough discovery to constitute its own thread (that and everywhere else didn't seem to fit it). If you disagree, you may close it, but just think about what I said.

I'm about 99% sure it was meant to be used there, yes. It was likely removed due to space issues or something.
I just talked to the creator (Riolu180). He said that the ENTIRE LEVEL was meant to have original SMW music and, no, Shy Guy's Toybox was NOT used in his level.

I doubt it was a space issue. The song is already THERE. All you'd really have to do is change "Bypass Music Selection" from "12-Switch Palace" to "30-Not Used".

Actually, I'm surprised I missed that (just checked addmusic.ini). I was trying to get rid of any tracks that were in the hack in order to free up some more bytes for a (hopeful) sample bank.

I guess I assumed it was used somewhere and left it in. Oh well.
