I also have a good but small snare... Sample 28.

And for the love of God don't use the hi-hat I used there. I can't think of a good open hat, besides Rudra's. Sample 25.

For an open hihat, you could try the one from here (sample 08) or here (sample 03). No idea how big they are though.

Underrated games with good samples, anyone?

The hihat sample is rather big, but it can be used as both, closed and open hihat.

But do we really need another Boss theme though?
The samples suggestions Imade were more for samples in general. Masterlink's hihat could be used for most of RednGreen's compositions that use hihat but use a placeholder for now.

It's only played 9 times during boss battles. It's not going to get repetitive.

In all seriousness, as much as I like Camerin's boss theme, I too ask the question, where would we put it?
Perhaps we could have it play in the 'easy' boss themes in the worlds that are accessed by taking the route without the boss*? Given the song's somewhat lighter tone, that might actually work.

Thoughts?

*assuming, of course, that's what we're doing.

I think that while this theme is intense and suggests danger, it has a slightly silly vibe to it. If Coaster Commotion hasn't got its own music, it would surely match the racing in the level.
What if we used it as the "chase" theme instead of "Rush Time" and made "Rush Time" the first to play of the two final boss themes?

Ooh, I like that idea, though Rush time isn't the most intense theme.

Or, it could also be used as a second bonus theme. DKC2 had a pretty dark bonus theme, for comparison.
So have we come to a consensus regarding whether or not we will be using custom global drum kit samples?

Also, it's probably just me, but @9 just wasn't meant to be looped. It sounds so weird. If we absolutely need a looped piano sample, couldn't we just reuse the sample in S.N.N.'s Chapel theme?

So, I was told from max you guys were still looking for a general percussion kit, and I thought I'd share a few samples I had.

I just want to mention how World 4A still does not have the proper music. It is currently using level music (with echo too!). I recall MVS being the one who composed the overworld music for W4A.

Yeah, FP mentioned it yesterday. I sent it off to Kip as that's kinda his department :P

There's really only one slot available, but if you think you can write a good final boss theme, by all means, give it a shot.
