BSOD (or restart) when idle

Hey there, I've got another problem.

Whenever I leave the laptop idling for approx. 30 minutes, it bluescreens (or sometimes simply restarts).

I downloaded Debugger Tools for Windows to take a look at the dump file that was located in the C:\Windows folder - which now for some reason won't get created anymore - and it said something about memory corruption. Problem history or however that option is called didn't record any bluescreen either. I have checked the laptop for viruses with Avira Antivir, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and HiJackThis but nothing suspicious was found.

The thing is, from the time before this started to happen until after, I had absolutely nothing new installed or changed within the laptop. It just came out of nowhere. And this always starts occuring a few months after I freshly reinstalled my OS. Yes, I had this happen to me quite a few times already.

I have absolutely no clue what to do, I'm not tech-savvy or anything. I'd appreciate it if somebody could guide me through a simple-to-understand walkthrough on how to tackle this problem. It's annoying me that I can't leave for half an hour without the laptop restarting for no apparent reason.

Thanks in advance for every response.

e: I forgot to mention that I also did a disk check and it showed the drives to be perfectly intact.
I'm guessing you couldn't get the error messages. You can test if the memory is bad by using memtest86+, which you have to load onto a CD-RW to boot from (details on site). This will test all your memory until you make it stop, and should tell you if any memory is bad.

It could also be the fact that the laptop may fall into sleep mode, which could cause issues. {I dislike sleep mode as a) it takes ages to boot up, b) bad stuff may occur such as programs crashing anc c) its just a generic pain.}

That would probably be the most basic, generic and unlikely solution...
I appreciate the responses but I decided to buy a new laptop tomorrow. This one's just too much of a hassle to work with, it's old, weak and is filled with problems. I'm better off with an entirely new laptop.

Also MSAhm, it wasn't the sleep mode that caused it. I wasn't even able to install updates, it decided to restart itself throughout half of the installation.
I just noticed you responded that you are getting a new laptop tomorrow, well here is what I was in the middle of typing(perhaps it can help somebody else, even though its not fully complete):

Check the temperature and see if it is abnormally high, this is a good place to start for this sort of problem. If this is not the problem, you may wish to test each component to the computer(specifically the CPU, RAM, and graphics card which can be tested with nearly any game).
