Briefing: Be as creative as you wish with this one, but try to make your area almost surreal/abstract/dream-like. The possibilities, quite literally, are endless here. Clever ExAnimation, neat graphical swaps, and more can go a long way to make these levels memorable and fun. These levels should be quite challenging as well, but fair.

Note that this does not mean you can dump a Kaizo level here and call it a day.

Foop had computer problems that put him out for a few weeks with the loss of all of the stuff he made for the project at risk, but a couple weeks back it turned out that his PC was fine. In the meantime, he made an updated version of his candy set (see his file bin), but nothing else came from him since.

If he dosent fullfill the level, could I have it?

About time I do something with mine... Enough procrastination! Now that my parents are gone for a week, I don't have any computer limits, so I can get to work. Here's a background I made for my level:

Great to see that you're working on the level at last. That BG in particular is really great - the purple colors really fit in with the "abstract" theme, and the candy itself looks great.

Keep in mind you've only got a few weeks left to finish this level, but since you already have the graphics made now, it's just a matter of getting the thing designed. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
I'm almost getting a Kirby's Dream Course vibe from that BG, which is great- it just feels fun somehow. I hope you have enough time to build everything.

That BG is amazing, really man! It looks like you ripped it from a kirby game.
Gotta be quick guys. Here is the ips for what I have so far. Gotta leave to Florida for a week now, later!

I obviously loved the graphics and that pool thingy was adorable, too,.
Parallax scrolling would have added to the background a lot, but due to those really high lollipops that's impossible to do. Would love to see some simple layer 3 clouds or something here, though, after all you can't really go overboard on effects in that kind of level.



Not really a fan of the red shooters, it kind of doesn't look right, I see that you tried to make it fit better, though.
Also, invisible Bullet Bill, along with the following:





There were sprite tile issues all over the place, fixes itself when you set the Sprite Memory header to 10.




Spikes hurt you from the side.
Really annoying throughout the whole level, you might want to fix that.




The fish don't really like staying in the water now, do they?
Also my game crashed in Snes9x here for some reason, happened only once though.





Slowdown in these places for some reason, they don't even look like there are too many sprites there.


Love the simple bonus room and the level overall was lotsa fun to play, especially the lineguide part, that stuff was changing without my control made me die the first time because of how sudden it was, but it made the whole thing more fun on my second try.
Also wee I love the brown rotator thingies.

So since you're back now and I gave you some time after you got back to finish this level .. welp, I'm kind of going to need to see some progress.

I would also love to see some progress, I saw you reserved a sub level a little over a week ago. I'd hate to see you lose interest in this project after you've done so much.
