My first hack. It has 5 levels. Don't be scared of the demo. It's NOT a Kaizo hack. Have fun!



REASONS FOR REMOVAL:

A remake of the first level of Kaizo Mario World in the title screen, complete with floating munchers.



Rather bad palette for the file select menu.



I don't know German, but it looks to me like the message was supposed to be longer than what actually fits in the message box.



...that is not how you make a bush with berries.



Repeating the same "guess the correct path or get shot at" setup five times in a row isn't exactly what I would call interesting level design.



Nice falling spike graphics you've got there.

Three mistakes for the prize of one: a pipe on a screen boundary, a dragon coin on a subscreen boundary, and yet another cutoff bush/berry combo.



...and you thought this would be acceptable why, exactly?



*sigh*

*triple sigh*



And as a final testament to the quality of this hack, the Yellow Switch Palace makes the game freeze when you try to enter it.



I'm sorry, but I can't seem to find any words fitting this hack other than "garbage". Please read the Hack Submission Guidelines and try again.

REASONS FOR REMOVAL:

On the positive side, you have gotten rid of the glitched sprite graphics. On the negative side, the level design is still mostly garbage.



Once again, why the hell do you have a remake of the first level of Kaizo Mario World in your title screen?



The title screen now features extra cutoffness.



In my last removal log, I pointed out that having the same "guess the correct passage or get shot at" setup five times in a row really isn't the most interesting of level design. So what do you do? You keep the segment, remove most of the shooter sprites, and add a coin trail showing the correct way.



Moving on...



More copypasta! What fun!



This is why you don't put coins over ? blocks.

...you know, this really doesn't look very much better. Either make sure the stem graphics display correctly, or just get rid of the Piranha Plant entirely.



That midway point looks rather awkward with the posts being of different lengths. It's probably the least of the problems in this hack, but still :V



Blarggs and slopes just don't go very well together.



So if I don't still have that shell, I have to commit suicide? How nice of you.



Apart from the lava being cutoff, the behaviour of that skull raft looks pretty strange.



More cutoff lava, and once again, I have to commit suicide; this time because I didn't know that I still had to keep up with the skull raft.



Dropping blindly into a cramped area with a shell bouncing around isn't exactly a pleasant experience. D:



If you hadn't played this level before, would you have guessed this was the exact spot you had to press the P-Switch? Hit it anywhere else, and once again you have to die, since you can't get through the turn block wall.



Bad initial foreground position.



This is the third time you repeat this rather pointless message. We get it.





Because taking the same layout of Bullet Bill cannons and copypasting it for ten screens truly is the pinnacle of level design. No, really. Did you seriously think this is a good design decision? In case you didn't know, most players don't like repetition.



...and then it turns out I had to go the other way to get a P-Switch first. (For those curious, dropping down leads back to the rest of the level; if you do so without the P-Switch, you have to redo the cave section.)



The way to the left really isn't all that much more interesting, it seems. Also, you are aware that the sprite limit is keeping most of these from firing, right?



...you can't be serious.

The font colors still haven't been changed. Try black as an outline.


The vine is cutoff and so is the bullet machine (minor cutoffness on cement blocks).


Also, a level full of cement blocks does not really look appealing. If I enter that door, I die. Happens with 95% with your doors. Have you even tested this??? It's a pretty simple fix, though. Just use other FG/BG Initial settings. Try FG: C0, BG: C0


Major lava cutoffness. Guess what this door does.


Why is it called Palac? Give the cliff a full black outline (on the right end).


This midway does nothing.


Sprite memory issues. Mario and/or other sprites disappear. Remove the gas bubble!


If I press the P-Switch where it is located, I die!? How should I freaking know especially in this level??

Sprite memory issues. Also I don't have enough objects to kill him so I guess I was supposed to bring something through the pipe. If I go back now, I have to redo a lot of the level... which was very tedious and boring.
But anyway, this hack doesn't have the balls to pass our guidelines unfortunately.



You definitely need to follow our guidelines in order to have an acceptable hack one day. There are just too many errors in this and too many gameplay/level design flaws so I also suggest playing through some of our hacks.
Last suggestion: There is a perfect German base hack with ÄÖÜ and the likes if you really want to keep your hack in the German language.
