Does anyone know of anybody who can mimic the SMW Redrawn style? I want them to add a head to the Dry Bones collapsing animation, as Bony Beetles having skulls is official as of NSMBU.
Kinda in hibernation for a while. I hope to be back in full swing soon.
MrDeePay is pretty good. Also Nep-Enut.

Good luck getting them to draw for you though (one's a busy moderator and the other is loldead), so you're better off drawing yourself or ripping from a custom spritesheet.
I just downloaded "BG Scroll Rate Settings Editor v2.1" (BGSRSEv21), so I can use edit1754's Coral Capers BG. And I have no clue how to use it, and I don't know anything about HDMA effects:)

All that was included with edit1754's Coral Capers file was this stuff:

The .map16 file is NOT a .map16 file, it's just another .bin file. He didn't include a color palette either. WTF?

I aquired a .zst savestate file from the Coral Capers level in a Donkey Kong Country ROM, but the closest color match it could give me was this:

What am I supposed to do here?!

Oh, and what is a .NET Framework? How do I know if my computer already has it?

Older versions of Lunar Magic used .bin files for Map16 pages instead of .map16. This file is evidently from that time; you can still insert it by going to the "Import Map16" button like normal, and then changing the file type to "Raw Map16 Files (*.bin)". As for the palette, it can be pulled from the example level (level.mwl).
Also, for future reference, the original ROM's palettes almost always won't match the ExGFX's! Hardly anyone rips the palette that way.

.NET is a software framework from Microsoft that allows most programs to run. Most likely, you have the latest version; if you want to be sure, though, you can download it off Microsoft's website.

Also, as for the BG scroll rate editor, it's not an HDMA effect, afraid you'll have to code that one yourself. Don't worry, it's not too complicated; this should help.
All the editor does is allow you to change the settings for how fast the BG will scroll from left to right. "Variable, none" is just recommended to make the HDMA work right, it won't actually make the effect happen.

How do I make coins stop spawning when I fireball sprites? I tried out the classic fireball patch but it doesn't seem to work.
Which of the two you tried (note that there are two of them)? And also, have you set the freespace for one of them?

I'm an idiot. No, I assumed that if it worked on one ROM, it would work on another without modifications. The only problem now is that coins still spawn

EDIT: Naw, I fixed things, just had to restart from scratch.

In Luigi's walking frames a messed up tile appears. I used the Seperate Luigi GFX Patch so any ideas what makes this occur?

Nope, that's pretty much tilemaps and what not. I'm just trying to find out how to fix this patch :P Thanks anyway :)

What Jack means (hey Jack is my name ^_^) is that may be pieces of Luigi from GFX00.bin, the graphics file which holds the pieces that are added to the Mario/Luigi sprite via SP1. This usually applies to hands and feet in certain Animations (running/flying/swimming etc.)

Does anyone have a link to the IPS that makes almost all your levels empty? It's for starting a new hack.

Here are two different patches:

First Patch - Cleans most of the levels in a ROM except some special levels. --> IPS Patch | xkas Patch

Second Patch - Cleans all of the ROM and gives you a super scratch ROM to work with. --> IPS Patch | xkas Patch

Note: If you are using the IPS patches, make sure you have a Clean ROM. I would recommend you to use the xkas patches instead. Also note that it will give incorrect checksum but the ROM still works fine.

Which special levels would the first one keep and do you know how you'd use an xkas patch with Asar?

Add a line saying ";@xkas" at the top of the patch. That'll make it work in both xkas and Asar.

Using the xkas patch on a non-clean rom gave me this and messed up all my sprites. Are you sure that you can use the xkas patch on a non-clean rom?

I've only used it on ROMs that have been modified to a certain extent so I am not sure if you can on others. All I said is that I know for certain you cannot use IPS patches on non-clean ROMs (ideally you would use the patch on a fresh ROM). After messing in Lunar Magic and applying the patch, it works for me.

Finally got it to work. Thanks.
Also, does anyone know where I could find the ROM value for how fast it takes Mario to reach the apex of his jump.

I believe this is what you're looking for, just mess around with the values until you get something you like.

Could someone please link the Patch used to make Goombas Stompable? It would be greatly appreciated! Also I think it's the type of patch that can work on an Edited SMW ROM
