Well Well Well...
A Kaizo hack I created 2 years which was crap, its called:
THE 5 DIFFICULT BOSSES
It includes:
-1 custom sprite (level ender)
-98% a vanilla hack
-custom graphics (not land)


Difficulty: pretty easy
Floating munchers: yes
F***ed for beginners: yes
F***ed for tasers: no
Breakable: yes
Bonus boss: yes

Don't enjoy it.

Due note that this hack was low quality. I wouldn't recommend playing this unless you like Easy Kaizo Hacks, you enjoy flunchers, and/or you just want to play it for the lulz.

Immediate first thoughts: "I won't, thank you."

Actual content review..... oh boy. Well, first of all I had to snoop around your file bin to find the file in the first place, might wanna do something about that.

Regarding level C5: FUUUUUUUUUU--

Regarding the overworld: What's up with the flashing red bar to the left? Also, after a boss fight, the music doesn't play until you enter an exit tile. Might wanna fix that.

Regarding the first level: Oh dear, stacked and floating munchers already... also, you can't get the level autoclear to work until you throw the springboard off the edge of the screen. Plus the 3 mushrooms are horribly unnecessary. And a Chuck doesn't count as a boss, period. Either kaizoify some of the Koopalings, Big Boo, and/or Reznors, or go get some ASM magic bosses.

Regarding the second level: Oh no, I have to stand on a platform and hold the fast forward key until a P-switch falls down in order to get out of here? Oooh, it's sooooo difficult, I'm gonna need some slowdown for this! Also it's impossible to get the flower. Dunno if that's there to be silly or if you actually intended me to get it somehow.

Regarding the third level: Dohoho, dumping the player into lava right from the get-go. Also the vine lets you kill the first two chucks with minimal effort, and the map16 trickery is silly. Plus if you're using map16 what's with all the damn floating munchers?

Regarding the fourth level: Holy fuck, this might be the worst level so far. It's just the Kaizo Ghost Fight, minus the fishing boo. Could you be any less creative?

Regarding the fifth level: Apparently you can. Not only do you only have to fight one of the koopalings, but the invisible boss trick WAS ALSO USED IN KAIZO.

Regarding the SUPER SECRET FINAL STAGE: Another invisible boss. LAME and easy.

Regarding the Credits: Uncreative, just putting "ME" everywhere. Also you fucking credited "Kaizo", showing just how uncreative you are. Sorry, but I'd scrap this and start over. And actually try, y'know, doing stuff. The fact that you even bothered to translate this to Japanese actually makes me a little saddened; if you put effort into the actual level design then you wouldn't need magical fancy shit.

- Its not a vanilla level if it contains custom graphics and a level ender sprite. I'd consider that more strawberry. ^^;
- Japanese translated? Does that mean from Japanese to English, or the other way around? After looking at the hack, it doesn't look like either.
- Floating munchers are a no-no. Try using swapped graphics, like mines. Nice that you're at least willing to say that without making me open LM, though.

So, let's take a look at the game:
Title screen: Its a bit odd, but oh well. Not much you can do vanilla.
Intro: Amazing storyline, y'know?
Overworld: There's a strange red line on the left side of the screen. Looking around the map, it seems to be a border of the map, but I don't see why you put it around the whole thing, considering you can't see all of it unless you move the map around.
Boss 1: Simple idea, just jump on the chuck. Not sure if its intended, but you have to throw the springboard at the start off the side of the screen to win.
Boss 2: Bit more complex. Its a rather long and boring wait for the P-switch, though. Just kill the lightning guy and stand on the turnblocks. Also, not sure why, but you can't collect the fireflower before the level ends, unless you're not supposed to kill the lightning guy. Overworld: Perspective error with the swimming. The hill's way too high up to just swim around it.
Boss 3: Instant death at the start, if you don't hold up. Anyway, another Chuck level, this time with four. The background is rather ugly, with the weird water and the cutoff around the cement blocks (not to mention the LOL they form). Overworld: Another perspective error, the bottoms of the ledges that pop out should be rounded like the tops.
Boss 4: Simple boo fight, but the background is too bright, though.
Boss Select: Seems to be the boss test room from Super Mario World? So, most of the bosses are invisible, except for Lemmy, Wendy, and Bowser. Lemmy and Wendy are both upped difficulty (though Lemmy is cutoff and Wendy's lava has a bad palette). Larry and Bowser's doors are surrounded by cutoff lava, and Bowser seems to be changed to 5 dots (sad eyes appear around them when you hit Bowser).
Final seceret boss: Name misspell (its secret). There's cutoff around the door at the start, and also a bad pallete for both it and the... Castle within a castle. It seems to just be invisible Reznor. Its also really glitchy, as I kept getting hurt in places where Reznor shouldn't be and also won after defeating just 3 Reznors.
Credits: Whats the difference between overworld/boss design and area design? Also, I think most of the actual bosses in here were Nintendo's. Least you gave credit to them for the rest. :P
Also, interesting that all the bosses besides Lemmy and Wendy (and kind of Bowser) are invisible at the end.

That's not a reason to make a hack look shitty. Kaizo hackers have standards, just like the rest of the site.

I used 1 map 16 object (not background). The crappy water 'LOL' background was in the map 16 already.

Please, avoid this. Floating munchers are a very bad idea. Use mines instead or other spiky things (not spikes) that will not oddly float like the muncher.

I think they shouldn't. This will make it annoying, not fun.
Is this the start to no more differentiation between Kaizo and just a hard regular hack if we just suddenly start banning think quick starts?

whelp about the issue on invisible coin blocks, here is my thoughts, if they arent out lined its just stupid. they dont add any difficulty just make the game seem badly thought out. it you are making a death trap why not put a muncher there? if you want it to be something that you cant hit from the bottom making it invisible is just stupid, making it visible by outlining it seems fair since its just a way of making a precision jump.
