Why did you pick your name?

I'll stop being lazy and actually explain it this time.

Pheno is a corruption from Phoenix, Latukas is a partly a corruption of Lakitus but also from my text mashing when I used to play WoW, and I got the name "Latuka".

I used to use Phenova a while ago- Phoenix Nova -but recently I prefer Latukas. People have started to steal it since I used it though... So I tend to keep it down to a short version of my full username.

I also used Windora/Winowa (can't remember) once, and "Game Boo Advance" and "Ghost of Christmas Time Paradox" are my holiday names.

I'm kinda tempted to use Lord Rust at the moment, but it's not really user name material.

Apart from that everyone on every online whatever ever nicknames me "phen" or "pheno". Sometimes even "phenol". I actualy hate it... Why can't anyone call me Latukas or Latu?

Don't get me started on everyone spelling my username wrong though. Phenolutuskas, Phanolakitus, Remolatunkas. Arg.
so, on New Year's Eve, i had invited a bunch of friends to my place for a particularly party. sometime into the night, we gathered around my xbox to play some MW2. to play multiplayer, we had to make profiles for my friends to use, because that's just how xbox rolls.

one of my friends couldn't decide on a cool-sounding name for his profile even though everyone couldn't care less and just wanted to get on with the game. i suggested just throwing two random nouns together, say, algorithm and shark, and just calling it a day. upon some self-reflection, i realized what i had come up with was actually kinda cool sounding, as well as being obscure enough to not have been used yet, to my knowledge. (a google search only hands you various profiles of mine which have algorithmshark as the username.)

with regards to my irc nick, tubular, i just chose it because it was cool sounding, SMW-related, and remarkably shorter than "algorithmshark".
we are all 😎 but some are more 😎 than others
HIkariNoNanaki → 光のナナキ。This name Nanaki comes from Final Fantasy VII, and the HikariNo part comes from basic Japanese grammar. 光のナナキ literally means "Light's Nanaki", but a proper English translation would give it the name "Nanaki of Light".

My first name of =D= was basically a really weird name to help me stand out. After a while of everyone getting used to the name, Kieran changed it to "equals D equals," possibly because equal signs were no longer valid characters, and I changed it to the name you see here.

Other Submissions of mine!
I was thinking of Amanda, Atma, Nebraska, and Alaska.

I manged to mix them together to get Ascaska.
I named myself this because I was obsesse with an anime at the time.
But only later discovered that it also means pervert.

SMWHacking? I rest my case.
SMWCentral? I leave it to rest.

I really don't remember why, actually. I think it kind of just came to me and I used it. Personally it bothers me since the nickname is... rather weird, but eh.
It's my favourite colour.

My username is basically a nickname that was given to me in my later years of grade school. I couldn't think of any other name to use as a username so I decided that I would use E-Man.

My original name was that of EMan7017, which is my youtube name. Since YouTube didn't accept the hyphen when creating a name, I used my nickname (without the hyphen) with an assortment of numbers. 7017 holds nothing special to me, it was just an assortment of sevens (my favourite number), a one, and a zero that I happened to like. Nothing more really.

..Why 'Masashi'? D:
A: 'Masashi' is a generic Japanese name (I think most of you guys already know). I just found that name cool, so I decided to use it in my nick. <- That's all :P

..Why '27'? D:
A: Well, I live in an apartment. My room number is 207. I thought the '0' between '2' and '7' was unnecessary, so I omitted that number.

I know, it's a weird username lol
My first username, which was DrawingYoshi, was a clear reference to Yoshi. I can't remember why the "Drawing" was there.

I changed it to Dangus just after the forum's maintance last year. It means "heaven" in lithuanian. I found that word randomly, and since its meaning wasn't bad, I decided that would be better and less generic than my old username.
Now I need to change my old avatar. Or not.
I picked my name because...it's a long story, actually...

Back in 2006, me and my friends started playing Runescape. We all had usernames that were our names, and a random number(usually starting with 9)behind it. I was originally going to be Martin9123, but it didn't work, so I picked a random number. And that's my story of how I got my name Martin9172. Later, I just changed my name to 9172. Through 4 and a half years of internet, I've never seen anyone else with that number. I might actually request a name change to 9172.

tl;dr: Randomness.
Message of the week: I'm going to be inactive, except for the Third Earth story posts. So I'll be on here once a week.

World's saga is on the fourth chapter.
Game progress is still on chapter one.
Character progress: 11 of 18.
Bug fixing: Initiated.

No idea.

Back in some time around 2006/7, I started playing an MMORPG called Dofus. I didn't want to use my old name because it's sort of terrible (mrtiny999). So I decided I could make a name by throwing random syllables together, and as a result the name "hyreforgling" was created. Because it was an original name and didn't use any numbers, I figured it was a good username and stuck with it, then proceeded to use that username for anything new that I registered for, and that includes SMW Central. I stayed for a while, but I noticed that my hack wasn't getting much attention. Annoyed, I slowly drifted from the site and found a new hobby.

My current name came some time near the beginning/middle of 2008. I had recently discovered the true nature of the internet and the existence of memes. Being eleven years old at that point, I thought I was cool using memes in real life. Some short time afterwards when playing Worms World Party, I was making a team, and decided to name the team "Forty2" because it looks cooler than 42 normally. Turns out the game also has a "42" flag, which I used. From then on, I set my MSN username to Forty2 (not that I actually ever used MSN, nor do I now).

Then in February 2009, I found myself on the computer thinking, "Hey, my Lunar Magic folder. Maybe I could get back into SMW hacking." And so I logged on to SMWC under my old name, made a post or two, then decided that my old name made me look like a noob and wouldn't attract much attention (because I'm an attention whore), plus I didn't really want to be remembered for who I was back then. Having discovered the name change feature, I changed my name to my MSN username, Forty2, even though I was yet to actually read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I must say, this name has served me well. Due to the memetic nature of the name, it's helped attract a little bit of attention, and if I had never come up with this name and stuck with my old name, I probably would have never talked, and eventually become friends with Captain Pissweak, likely one of the main reasons I've stuck with the site (even though he left, I still have other reasons to be here).

tl;dr 11-year-old me thinks memes are funny.
May we meet again outside the battlefield.
I don't remember the exact story behind me username. But, I know that is based off the Tanooki Suit for Super Mario Bros. 3.
I made my name like this, because it has no letters, which I despise, unless used sparingly and properly (Forty2 is an example of good use of numbers).

Desert-Fox is a mashup between the furry fandom and the fact that my friends know me as a grammar nazi.
It's my initials. I can't make a decent username.

#w{=P}
I picked my name simply because I am Bman ;) and all of my mates are part of BGx, simples!#w{=D}
This is BGxBman, I'm just a normal kid ;O

Well, the k, i, l, o and n are close to each other (on a qwerty keyboard at least) so I just randomly typed it one day.
I didn't have an internet name yet, so I stuck with it.
I think it's pretty cool and simple.

Which can also have a downside as it happens that kilon is already taken. Then I just add 666 to it. Original, I know.
