Your level of SMWCP was very good. I've tested your level, and it was a really impressive. The difficulty of the level was not easy, but not hard either. There were no errors in any part of the level. I liked where Mario holds the bullet cannon and blast enemies and blocks. I also liked the 36-second bonus area for the second SMWC coin. Again, an outstanding level overall.

Everything SHOULD be completed with the exception of the odd palette of the message blocks. There is also an pipe at the beginning of this level that leads to the secret exit path. HOWEVER, I do recommend trying to fine the correct way into the factory first so I know if its too difficult or not.

This is probably a bad time to post this given the large amount of newly-finished levels I assume will be posted now, but I guess it can't be helped.

Improvements:
  • Finished, duh. :P Added the last two sublevels (falling section + andy_k_250-styled ending part).

Bugs to ignore for now:
  • That second SMWC Coin still refuses to work.
  • The Diggin' Chuck still has one wrong tile, which I already provided a fix patch for. It'll be applied eventually if we don't forget about it.

Feedback most appreciated on:
  • As always, the level design in general. Is everything alright - visuals, progression, flow, difficulty?
  • Is it obvious enough that you're supposed to get the star?
  • The falling section is kind of rushed because I was somewhat low on time today but still wanted to get it done. I suppose it doesn't actually feel too rushed, and I don't think I could do much better than that either, but yeah.
    As mentioned, making a star "run" like that feel interesting is quite the task. If you feel it's too boring I can fully understand that, but again, I'm afraid it's the best I can do.

If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.
Just wanted to state that I'll be spending most of my morning tomorrow getting these played. Any sort of feedback will not be posted here, but rather, in your appropriate threads.

To anyone who actually MADE a level: I encourage you to help out as well by testing other levels while you wait. We're all in this together, and it seems a little silly how it's always myself and a couple of others doing the testing. You don't need to write out AxemJinx-styled posts where you dissect the level to its core (not that I'm discouraging this), but just play them and give a general run-down of what you found fun, not fun, unfair, etc.

If you put out something playable (which you did), then you don't have to worry about the deadline that much actually, so take your time.

Coaster Calamity Final v1.0

Things Done:
- Switch the 2 cart areas around
- removed 3rd message box
- Made the room without gates a bit more challenging

Issues that are resolved but are not apparent in this version:
- There are 2 SMWC coins in the first room, I'm deciding which one would be the better one to keep there.
- The cart has a few garbage tiles around it because I don't have the right ExGFX file right now.
- Door in beginning takes player to midpoint

Issues not resolved:
- Music still not obtained

Note about the midway: SNN told me to move it farther than it's previous place which was on screen F, and I don't know if we installed a patch to allow us to put the midway farther, but I couldn't. So I just put the midway in it's new place on screen 1C and I'll see what happens with it.

@foop: Are you sure thats the right ips, when I downloaded it and played it (and looked at it in lunar magic), nothing was changed from the last version I downloaded (a few days ago). I'm assuming that things are supposed to be changed, so I'm guessing the ips must be the wrong one

That worked (after downloading it using firefox), for some reason if I download it using google chrome it doesn't work and gives me the old version.

Anyway I'll test it and give my feedback on the level.

Screen starts a bit to low


I thought this was a safe place to land.


This was actually almost blind, since I thought you had to go up, but a shell hit the on/off switch.

-No screenshot, but did you consider changing the graphics of the sprites? That could look cool.





By the way, with testing 2 levels here, my own level also needs feedback. Didn't have any since a few weeks ago.
