Wait a second. Is this thread actually purposeful, or are we just kinda spoutin' off the numbers of levels we want here? I don't think there's been any sort of official implication that a waiting list method will be used, should a level slot open up.
However, in the event that this is the decided route, I'd like to put myself in the waiting pool for 10F, if for some reason Masashi27 isn't up to the task of completing it.
Nothing in this thread (except for some of the stuff SNN said) has any true purpose. It's basically people complaining about the levels we wanted but couldn't get.
IMO, if you are really intended to try to go for a level and you have high hopes of the user dropping it/getting rejected. I would say to make that level. Sure you will be left out on some information that the user had, but it's better to present a functioning level to them when they ask for someone else then to simply ask for it.
I'd rather see it as constraint (being "forced" in a certain condition) being a source of creativity! Of course this depends on a given's person sense of creativity to start with, but you gotta give peeps at least a little bit of faith!
I'm just saying, in the chance that someone does drop out, do you really think the person here that asked for that level will be the only one? and what do you think would be better at that time? The person that says he will make a level, or the person that already has a level that is capable of approval?
It's fun to let off some steam, all that I'm talking about is what should/could we do in a real situation.
I don't think we should reward risk-taking in this case...nobody really knows if the level they wanted will be dropped by the current claimer. I don't think time should be much of an issue either, so I'd still go with equal random chance should a level become open again.
