Today, Kate and Middleton and Prince William got married in Westminster abbey, London. Kate is now formally known as "Her royal highness duchess of Cambridge"

I know there is a rather small percentage of British users here on the site but since I'm English myself, thought like sharing it.

Did anybody tune in to watch the wedding?

I got to see a rebroadcast of the wedding in my class today. It was quite exciting and interesting to watch, although my teacher and half the girls in my class seemed to be interested on Kate's dress though,lol. I have to say this is going on my list of memorable events in my life.

A little bit agreeing with Pikerchu here, although I watched it for about a half hour, all the luxury that was shown there was quite spectacular and impressive (but thinking on how much money was wasted on it makes it a bit sad). I'm okay that they show how the royal family is having a wedding or anything, but this one was a little bit exaggerating for me. I often watch TV news in the evening, and literally, even the Hungarian TV news showed the preparations 5 months before the wedding.
Not to mention the incredibly high amount of money spent on this (while...well, just look at Africa..), I'm pretty sure they could have done a beautiful wedding without all of this fuss.

How people can find that interesting, I don't understand. Too much fuss over something as irrelevant like a wedding.

Well at least people were focusing on something positive, rather than something negative for a change. I mean a break from everyday negative news is going to be appealling for people.

I actually went to that wedding! But my presents and photos were lost.
Ok, pretty much everyone here is talking about that wedding. I don't really care about it.

Sure, the prince of Britain got married, it is kind of a big deal, but seriously, 2 BILLION people? That's a little overkill. I guess everyone is just that desperate for some good news, huh?
