Caffie Radio Incarnation 3.0 Take 2

You would to PM Kieran for all of the details. Then ask the current DJ if you can be DJ, and then connect.
In order to bring more people in to list to the radio is, go onto iTunes,make a video on youtube, make an ad more talkhaus and jul, and even use google to lure people in, that would bring about 40 people in, probally.

To be fair that's sort of just whoring out in order to get more listeners. I really don't think we should be advertising the radio to people who it doesn't really concern. As far as I know the radio is not a source of income for SMWC but rather a little bonus for the users.

Besides advertising with Google is shit expensive if you want to advertise for longer than 5 minutes.

Hey, I want to be DJ because I have the whole SMWCentral Hack soundtrack I want to play, the only problem. What programs do I use to play the music?
Why disappeared it?
The DJ probably paused for a bit. It happens.

Just watch the top for the "Now playing" bar to return.
Hey guys I was thinking, instead of "Listeners X of 100" just put Listeners X, it just doesn't seem right when you see numbers like 3 of 100, it makes people not wanting to listen to the radio.

Wow, it seems like in the last 24 hours I have heard some songs for the first time in a very long time. Awesome.

I'm done with my first day of DJing. To be honest I was surprised at the amount of listeners. The peak was like 9 listeners or so. Thanks for tuning in guys. Feedback and all are appreciated. :D

Note to self: record yourself with a bunch of messages and all like "I'm going to stop DJing" etc. Ending the radio abruptly like that was kind of ugly.
My blog. I could post stuff now and then

Where does one sign up to be a DJ? I have about 60ish GB of VGM (yes. I'm a nerd. I am aware of this fact) and I'm interested in DJing again for a radio service.
Technically there is no "sign up" area. Up until the Radio Director is decided, you can just ask me if you want to connect and I'll try to help you out.

I'd suggest hopping on the IRC to speed up communication. I'm on caffie.net as Kiddo, and hang around he #radio and #smwc chatrooms.
The best idea is if you actually talk to Kieran first.

New DJ to the list.

A person who was banned over a year ago DJing? What?!

edit: two years ago lol

DJ Diji~

My playlist is kinda varied and mainly consists of hardstyle, breakcore, VGM, VGM remixes, and dubstep. (Roughly from what there's most of to what there's the least of, although most of it's kind of even.)

I don't play much 'mainstream' music at all. I hate most music that have vocals especially if it's actual singing. If it's nonsensical or not something I can understand it's usually ok with me. Or at least not singing unless it's really well done to me.

I also don't play much origional VGM. I don't have very many OST's on my computers anyway. Too lazy to obtain them.

I have all Touhou OST's except for Touhou 13 but I only have about 6 songs from Touhou 6-9 combined in that I like.

I also have the SSBBrawl ost but only some select songs from that in my list too.

Probably also some instrumental versions of songs.

I hope they can do smw ports
I've been thinking, and maybe we could do a little DJ schedule. Just something simple like having a user be DJ for a certain day. For example, I'd play on Tuesdays, someone else play on Wednesdays, and so on. The radio still gets about 3-6 listeners each day, and it'd be nice to give a variety of music.
I think that is an interesting idea, by far, but it could get tedious to keep up with when you have different people every day. It could probably get confusing.

Also, one month bump. #mlp{dh}
EDIT: On top of a 4 month bump. #w{:>}
That's what me and Kieran were working on. The discussion just eventually stopped and we haven't gotten any further since. If he's willing to work on it some more, then I'll start pressing out a first post for a thread about it.

I don't really like that idea because I like to DJ whenever I feel like it, causing my DJ schedule to be very irregular. And that's just the way I like it. Maybe if you could find a way to fit irregular DJs in that would work, but if everyone who wanted to DJ was assigned a set time and date, I don't know.
Maybe every week we could have some sort of happy hour-esque feature where the regular DJ takes that period off and it's open for another person to step in and have a go. This would be useful especially if say a DJ had gone on holiday or just generally wanted a break but it wouldn't be limited to solely this.

Maybe one random 3 hour slot every week for it.

Yeah but that doesn't help the irregular thing at all, because he'd still be limited to a set time.
