A..."random" hack, eh? I haven't played any previous versions of this hack, so I might try this one. How is it as far as difficulty goes?

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here.

The actual level difficulty (regarding survival) is ridiculously easy in the first three worlds, moderate in the next three, and pretty hard in world 7 (though most of my testing was done without a cape for fairness purposes, it's of course much easier if you abuse cape floating and the cape-spin, which I consider a perfectly fair method of playing SMW hacks).

As for the puzzles, their difficulty depends on your knowledge of the SMW engine-- knowing how various tiles, sprites, overworld layer 1 tiles/events, etc. function can help a lot (though the game is intended to be playable even by someone who only played the original SMW and has no prior experience with SMW hacks or glitches).

Well this certainly is... unique. Though the graphics..yeah... the gameplay doesn't seem to be half bad. Interesting concept, and I look forward to playing this. Thanks, Zeldara109!
[might be minor spoilers] Reznorland was one of the best, if not the best, experiences I've had in an SMW hack. Ever. Seriously, it was freaking amazing to play through.
Good fucking bye.
A hack that's about glitches? Epic win.
Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with us. I am enjoying it greatly. :)
My computer often has nervous breakdowns, so I can't be on the Central as often as I would like. Not to mention that darned thing called life; always getting in my way and ruining my schedule!

In other news, I am currently working on two Vanilla hacks right now, with one being a joke hack. Stay tuned!
I have to agree with GoldenSonic: Reznorland was all kinds of freaking amazing. The secret exit of the Sky Palace in particular is a work of genius; you certainly are adept at exploiting oddities in the SMW engine to your favour.

I did find a glitch that most likely wasn't intended to be there, though: getting the midpoint in Eternal Darkness and then dying dumps you in a void if you try to reenter the level.

For some reason, I do like joke hacks, but only ones like this one, that aren't intentionally crappy, but fun (especially with message boxes that have proper grammar, but strange dialogue).
Kinda in hibernation for a while. I hope to be back in full swing soon.
I also agree with GoldenSonic and YCZ, Reznorland was hard, epic and glitchy. I really need to play this when the full game comes out... I just hope the .srm file will work the next time x)

...what? (tests) Wow. I really thought I had tested every midpoint (I even had a secondary entrance set up for that one)...

The download has been updated now to fix this (and also fix a spin-jump-through-floors break that GlitchMr found in Reznorland 4). (For reference, the previous one had 77 downloads. To think that my hack has become so popular that it was downloaded 77 times in less than 2 days... I'm actually pretty surprised.)

If you mean whenever the next demo or full version comes out, I doubt it. Modifying certain aspects of the overworld will make .srm files incompatible (and I have some very strange overworld plans for some of the remaining worlds (did you notice that each world's overworld has a theme? World 3's is a blatant edit, world 6's is somewhat normal-ish but none of the levels fit the map icons, world 7's is unedited at first but becomes full of perspective errors...)).

By the way, thanks everyone for the compliments about Reznorland. I suppose spending all that time just for one new world in the demo really was worth it.

Don't listen to what most people are saying. Intentionally crappy hacks should not be considered joke hacks. -.-

But it's still considered a joke, and it's in a hack. This is why I hate catagorization.

Anyways, I played the demo last C3 and it was ok. Lazy land kinda got me a bit bored but apart from that this is pretty solid for such a hack.
REMOVED
Hopefully ZGC will help set a higher standard for joke hacks.

Anyway, considering C3 is about to end, I've created a thread for this in Works in Progress.
