Tip: The lowest row of 16x16 tiles in a level do not appear, unless the "Allow viewing full bottom row of tiles" box is checked in the #lm{MARIO69} menu. Be mindful of this when designing levels!

Due to the new "CONBRAVO!" Nostalgia critic ad, I decided to see what other people actually thought of the guy.
I Think he's a pretty decent reviewer myself, You probably should check him out if you haven't His website is Thatguywiththeglasses.com.

I AM NOT AN ADVERTISER. I simply would like to know other's opinions about him, and show you where to watch him if you are interested in it.
... Yeah.

Sorry if this doesn't belong here; I'm pretty sure it does though.

My sins I'll claim, give you back shed pain
Go find a place for your shame
So you can deal with this thing unreal
No one made you feel any hurt, yeah

I'm a fan of Nostalgia Critic's stuff and try to keep up with the new episodes as they come out every Wednesday, and he's got a huge back catalogue of reviews and countdowns that are a joy to catch up with while waiting for new content. Some of my favorites include his Ferngully, Neverending Story 3, Double Team (FRYING THE COKE!), and animated Titanic movie reviews, but they're all quite hilarious and insightful from what I've seen.

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
Nostalgia Critic is absolutely hysterical. This series, along with some of others like Video Game Confessions and The Bum Reviews also by Doug can make a great watch. I like to have a meal and watch any new Nostalgia Critic I might have missed, a way spend some time and take a break. One of the last things I expected him to review was Pokemon: The First Movie, which I have and I thought it was good at the time. (The tear thing was corny as hell though, and dat moral)

If you like AVGN, watch this guy too. They both review old, funny shit.
I like his videos, but I usually only watch them when I'm eating or they're about a movie or show that I've actually seen. If it's not, I tend to lose interest once I'm done eating. Unless of course it's really, really funny, in which case I can't stop watching.

Yeah, I like it. I also like how he updates a lot more than AVGN.
I usually watch all the episodes, it's usually good entertainment. The only thing I didn't really like were the commercials. Living in Europe I don't know any of those, and that makes it a lot less interesting.
Unlike AVGN, who just felt like he was losing his originality as the show went on, I found the Nostalgia Critic always fun to watch. I think it has something to do with me growing out of games and more into films as my main passion. The guy makes an entertaining product, and I watch it like many others. Great satirical humour!
I usually watch him when i have nothing else to do. He's very funny.

TASTE THE RAINBOW MOTHERFUCKER!

i just lurk sometimes
To be fair on AVGN, the Nostalgia Critic does offer a lot more variety with movies of all different genres, top 11 countdowns, and a variety of specials and mini-series here and there. He also looks at good or at least mediocre movies as well, while the AVGN usually only focuses on bad video games rather than good ones.

Back on topic, I love the Nostalgia Critic videos. They tend to be funny and a lot of effort is put into them. I especially love the running jokes like "Of course!" and "Big Lipped Alligator Moment". Plus the top 11 countdowns are pretty cool since they tend to stray away from bad movies or tv shows.

The only thing I don't like is when he takes a gimmick to far. For example, I found episodes like Casper and We're Back annoying and hard to watch because he used his gimmick too much in the former and the gimmick simply didn't work well in the latter. (to be fair on him, though, the latter did have a disclaimer in the beginning saying you won't like the review if you don't understand the joke - which I didn't, unfortunately)

Oh Nostalgia Critic, he's absolutely hilarious, especially "The Room" review, and 'the care bears movie', 'I touched half these children, amd i'm okay with that", hilarious.

What?
AVGN does more than review shitty games that suck ass.

-He makes top 10 lists (Of which most include good movies)
-You Know What's Bullshit? (His rant miniseries)
-Board James (Reviewing board games)
-Shit Pickle (Some old animation thing)
-Other miscellaneous stuff that involves his previous works.

OT: I think TNG is great, due to his fast updating, but AVGN is also good, since he puts a LOT of work into his episodes.

I would like to formally apologize for this terrible take. Even ignoring Doug's fraught history running the company, The Nostalgia Critic is a far inferior show to the Angry Video Game Nerd. At the time I most likely wasn't aware of James's other shows, like the classic Monster Madness and Board James series. He is also a much better actor, not burdened by tired gimmicks and running jokes. His performances remain funny even after dozens of viewings for over a decade. Truly, there is no comparison.
