There are some issues I can see in your previous post:
-In the 3rd screenshot, you're probably using the castle BG as FG. That's okay, but it shares the same color of the mountains BG, which may make the player feel a bit confused. Some Map16 work shall make the trick. Another thing is the castle stone block. I'm being a nitpicky here: I think it would be better if you darkened a bit the bright yellow color, because, well, it's a bit too bright.
-In the last screenshot of this same post, you put some leaves in the mountains. It's not clashing, but it's a little out of place, because there are trees in the hills, so putting those leaves made them look like giant leaves coming out of the hills. I don't know what would be a good idea to do in this case, because it blends well, but like I said, it's a bit out of place.
As for this recent post: the font is cool and the layer 3 stars... are amazing... very nice idea you had there.
But there are some issues as well:
-In the level with chainsaws, the shading of the purple mountains in the BG is not very well made. I suggest using the "alt" command in the palette editor, if you're not already using, obviously.
-In the grasslands with castle blocks level, I can see some cutoffs in the water and in the big bush (in the last screenshot), because of the columns. I suggest making some ExGFX with the columns, adding the color of the water/bush in their sides, so they won't make cutoffs, if you're using ExGFX, obviously. If you're not, then I suggest replacing them with completely square blocks.
Anyway, level design seems unique and most of the ideas are cool, as well the palette choices.
