JDCGames Collab Trailer

A small trailer I decided to make of all the levels submitted so far.
River Styx returns.

I'll probably add in parallax scrolling later...

First level from my hack... Everything else is secret... even name...
I was bored~

Looks good Weeabuu. Do you plan on adding some other things? Like ships above the sky?

Actually my original intended idea was having a vine from that one level spot in the bottom center leading all up into the space. Of course I still want to add additional stuff like stars, a moon etc. But ships sound like a great idea as well. Something like Bowser's space fleet hovering up there.

e: updated.

It is gorgeous. Man, those palettes are just perfect. The mood of the level looks so neat, and i love dark/nightime levels, i find them beautiful to look at.
Great work with it.

Weeabuu: Hmmmm... Looks interesting. It's a nice concept for the OW. You could make a moon, and a star submap. Actually, it just gave me an idea, that with some asm, it can become pretty interesting =)
If you're interested, i can send you a PM with more details.

Underway: Wow, this level look cool, i liked a lot the fire going out from the lava. The palettes also look prety good, the level design also seems solid and well made. Fun to play.

It may look different, but the level layout is mostly the same; if you played any of the earlier versions, you should be able to figure out where the rest of the levels appear. I can't show a screenshot of them yet, partially since the events don't exist as of now and partially since the levels themselves aren't really in a playable state what with all the custom stuff missing.

Also please don't mind the obvious bridge-related cutoffness; I just haven't drawn the proper intersection tile yet.

Looks pretty nice. As far I can see the level tiles are in the same place.
Ooo, yoshicookiezeus nice submap =D I am looking forward to you releasing that hack!

Well anyways, here is a video for the JDC Games Collab (CLICKY CLICKY), it is laggy due to both my computer's processing rate and it being an online screen recorder haha. Well what do you all think?

@camoslash - I commented on the forum :)

Anyway, I thought I'd show a submap I'm making for a fire/ice world. It's for my collab.

It's pretty much done, aside from events.
Link'd be cause width is huge. Height is fine, width is huge.

^ A castle level? Does this mean I'm rebooting that sad excuse for a hack I did? No. Just showin' off a castle tileset for feedback... Wanted to add exanimated extras, but I think I'll let whoever uses it do that themselves. I even left three rows full of 'x's empty! :D

EdIt: It's submitted...
Currently balancing work and hobbies. Also I've got a job now.
Practice Makes Purrfect

Working is fun. Creating level themes even more so. Continuing building them isn't, but actually completing them is a priceless feeling.

This isn't completed, though. But when it is, expect a timelapse video of me making it. :D

Awesome work. I like how there are rocks, bones, and dry bone heads inside the stone blocks and I also like the palette as well.

@JDC: The submap looks nice, but I don't know. The fire and ice portions don't seem to really...interact with each other like what I'd expect from a fire/ice area; right now, it seems pretty basic. That aside, it's still a nice-looking submap.

@sunwarrior25: Neat castle graphics :>

@GN: Looks awesome: the palette, the graphical combinations, the candles, everything! I see some very slight cutoff with the cave ground (quicksand?) against the castle ground and stone blocks, but otherwise, amazing job yet again!

And while I'm here...

Screens of the first level of my new hack, plus a video.

Here's hoping I can manage to go somewhere with this... (Also, I mentioned it in the video, but I'll point it out again: I did not take the little ledge/rope replacement graphics from SMWCP2. The shape is the same, yes, but the shading is different because I based it off of a piece of the green pea bouncers.)

If anything, they were based off of a type of ledge that appeared in NSMB/NSMBWii, so I see nothing wrong with using them at all.

Extras

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Yeah, the ledges you're thinking of in SMWCP2 were based off similar ledges in NSMB/W, which frankly aren't all that difficult to replicate.
