I'm proud of myself for actually being motivated to hack SMW again. (Ignore Goombob graphic) Level contains Exploding Bullet Bills, chasing spike balls, Albatoss', Chomp Sharks, Exploding Turn Blocks and some other shit.
The screenshots don't do justice whatsoever so I'll show a video when I'm done with this but how does it look otherwise?
Looks great, reghrhre. Loved how you expanded your tileset to include slopes, and the atmosphere looks great as well. Look forward to the video you will post for this.
Anyway, to a real comment, that level looks very damn pleasing to look at, man. The mist gives off an amazing atmosphere and the level design looks solid! Fun to look at and play, and that Background... wow...
This is a screen to a pre-boss room of the last level of the game. I'd like some suggestions on maybe to make it better or some more stuff to put in. It is supposed to be some sort of laboratory, but it isn't your cliche lab, meaning no test-tubes or chemicals...
-------------------- Your layout has been removed.
I ran into little bit of a snag with the level gimmick I wanted to implement so I had to resort to a more crude method to make it work. Anywho here's the Green Switch Palace for the still unnamed hack I'm working on with Draaloff.
@RainbowShell, can't judge too much from it, but it looks fine.
@Sockbat Replica, I like your gimmick, but some of these jumps seem to be a bit annoying, even if in some places you have to use a cape. I guess these golden blocks are hurt blocks, so yeah... try to design your level more friendly for non-cape Mario, as he can lose it easily in some spots. Other than that, it looks like an okay level.
@nick 139, for some reason your screenshots don't load. Maybe it's just me, but if they don't work, I suggest to reupload them.
Something I made in a few days. I thought I needed shitloads of colors to draw good shading, but I proved myself wrong. There are only 3 colors, (not including transparency, but if I include it, 4.) so it can be used in a NES game. I also like how it looks. Also I guess I improved? (The old grassland graphics was not EXACTLY mine. I didn't copy them, but I tried to make them like someone else's graphics, but this one is fully from scratch.)
I HAVE LOST THE ABILITY
TO DRAW BUSHES
Location: Vanilla Grove Galaxy
Since you're going for that 8-bit look and some of those graphics are clearly based on official Mario tiles, maybe you could try making a miniature version of the large bushes found in Mario 3? It'd be unique and you'd have something to work by as a base.
Bleh, I didn't wanna show off the video until I added a custom song but inserting custom music makes my game crash after a Sumo Bro's Lightning hits the ground for whatever reason and I'm only holding back on showing music which doesn't really matter too much. Comments and criticism appreciated!

@antimatterhunter: Thanks! Yours looks pretty great too, I recall seeing a variety of your graphics in the past and they're definitely really well made. As for my background, I made it by just doing.. what.. idk but I just kept left clicking my mouse to add in pixels and I did some few edits and I managed to get that; it was supposed to be a NSMBWii Canyon BG too : P
Well, the title says it all! The bullets are random! While it sounds like it's going to be a boring level from that name, I assure you it isn't. The level looks really fun from all the chaos going on. The graphics and level design also convey that mountain-like feel, as if I'm actually on the mountain getting the ever loving crapload of bullets shot at me.
