So here's a thing I've been working on. Cutscenes for my choconilla-type hack. I'm open to suggestions. I also (sort of) show off the title screen, so you can suggest stuff for that too.


Showed this on the Discord Channels but I thought I would post it here to get some other ideas for potential colours I could use or would look as background colours.
The colors look really good! As for background colors, I think you can also add brown, orange that looks more like... of course, orange or pink.

I made a new background for level 1-1.

Also some tileset are rip from MFGG 8x8 Tileset And Super Mario World in Super Mario Land.

Although the use of that 8x8 ripoff makes for a beautiful background, I would suggest adding something to fill the ground with. Also water on the back should be a tad bit lighter than that to make it look better and easier to differentiate from darker water. Other than that, it's looking very good!

I don't like the way the Layer3 looks going behind singled-out clouds on Layer 2. It just looks very awkward.

Looking cool Erik. Maybe I'd make the clouds' border colors a bit softer, but other than that, it's all good.
I like the Background's gradient. It´s colouring is splendid. Though I agree with Wakana that the clouds' border could be a bit softer, but apart from that it looks very well.
