Gregor: The first and second screenshot are great. You did a great job with the sign and the Blargg (?) skeleton.

TheQuackSavior: The Urchin Waterway level looks good, but the Sandy Hillside sublevel is so monochromatic that it's a little hard to look at.

Leictreon: I like how well the vanilla assets are reincorporated into the level, but the bit of land that you start on looks weird. I think the specks of dirt in it are too repetitive compared to everything around it.

Here's a bit of the overworld I was working on - by some miracle the rock formations tile nicely. I'd like some advice on the trees, which seem just a bit too noisy.

Other Submissions of mine!
Unf that water animation.

As for the the trees I think it's the black that's causing the noise.

Wow, that is really jaw-dropping. The graphics are very attractive, with the perfect amount of detail. Not only that, but the tile set is used really, really well. I love everything about it. What is your hack?

I'm very proud that you, with the great work that you've done for Ganymede, are so fond of the graphics. Truth be told your hack is actually a very keen source of inspiration to me, with the totally original characters and graphics, and a hearty focus on storytelling.

The hack in question is Aether: The Infinite Library. There will be more about it once I have enough of the game to warrant a thread, and once there's more to the level graphics than ugly placeholders that I have now.

Other Submissions of mine!
I did a dark level!
That's a scary short level I made for a friend of mine to play and let his reaction on video. (so far he has not played yet, so I'm waiting.)
I left a preview on my channel, was that good? And what can I improve?

@Manofer: you can improve by changing your sprite's style. Their SMW-esque style clash a bit with the general feel of your level. Aside of that... I don't have much to comment. Let's just say your level does the work. Period. It's dark enough.

I left it as the SMW original because I did not find many that fit the level in the graphics section, and also that I'm not good with drawings. When I have some spare time, maybe I'll practice drawing more...

It's a good idea to practice your drawing skills. I suggest, for the time being, that you use the Redrawn GFX for the sprites in this level in order to mitigate the style clash.

I was going to use redrawn, but I just did not use it and some parts in the level are with redrawn, you can easily see it by looking at the title screen.
It felt like the level was gonna build up to something at the end but the end was just kinda silly. Maybe do something a bit more with that unnerving feeling, like having the music start quiet and get louder over time or add some more darkness or something? And I'd just remove the jumpscare at the end because it's just hard to take seriously.

I would like to ask that you do not submit this level to the public if you plan on using it in a hack; I have not given permission for those graphics to be used, as said here, unless of course you change the tile set. It's not nice to use other peoples' stuff without permission.

(This is only for the Foreground graphics, as the background graphics are actually available on site.)

I could not think of anything more interesting at the last minute than a jumpscare in the end, I was also very tight with other things in mind and decided to end the level with a stupid death...Well...I hope to improve more.

do not worry so much, the level I sent is private only for my friend to play and leave his reaction on youtube.

Your words warm my tough old cholesterol pump. Thank you so much. It's an honor.

Those placeholders are pretty ugly, but I am very confident that they will one day be replaced by something outstanding. Your rocks are particularly impressive to me, I've always had such a hard time getting them right. Yours look very organic and it does a lot to give the landscape the appearance that it was shaped by natural forces.

Chapter Two: Land of No Shame
Trying to make the second level of my hack:

(yes it looks quite empty)
Any feedback?

plz pm me ideas to put here cause i dont have ideas

Pretty nice choice of colors; however, I fell you upper sky is a bit... empty. Maybe it's because of the sunset, but I think some clouds would do great in your background.

Dream team (feed them, please):

That's pretty good. Like FDMOH said, the upper sky could've been less empty, though.

Also, I've decided to revamp the first level of my hack. Seen here.

Pretty good, TheQuackSavior; it is simple, but gets the job done. The atmosphere seems pleasant enough to be a calm plains, but with enough challenge in the form of the monty moles. I liked the palettes, especially.
