Since we have a new music forum, I feel it's necessary to start off fresh. Here you can show off your music ports/compositions and/or sample banks.

I have one very important sample bank for people who use Addmusic 4.05.

For those who don't have it or know what it is. It allows bigger samples than what SMW originally allowed, Use that instead.

I want to take this time to tell everyone that we look forward to hearing your ports/compositions. A little reminder to everyone, read the music porting forum rules before proceeding.

Final Fantasy 6 - Shadow

This is a fullsampled port of FF6 - Shadow. I ported this for my friend. Unfortunately, I won't be submitting this to the music section yet. I have a few things to fix, so. Hope you enjoy listening to it!
Wow! Amazing! I like this port. This one sounds really like FF6. The samples from it sounds like from real world.

Another AddmusicM port, uses 10 samples and 3500+ bytes of free space @[email protected] I am aware it's far from perfect but this is the best I can do. TXT/BRR will be uploaded soon.

Fortuna - Sounds really nice, but that bassline seems a little detuned from the original.

Back to the Future - I feel that the accompaniment is louder than the actual melody. Part of the reason might not only be the melody, but its echo as well. Everything else is solid, though.


Blooper Bay - I like it. It's one of the few ports that @7 actually works with. The percussion felt like it was a bit on the weak side, though. Try changing that slap drum on #5 to @29, every other note that isn't @21. Also consider adding a new channel consisting of @22/@23 the first half of the song, and an @12 the second half.

FLUDD - Like RTL said, the loop suddenly went missing. The first bass-line note in the @8 went missing somehow. Everything else is fine!

Anyway, a new port, not pretty accurate because of the portamento values used in the original. I had to find some replacement for that. >_<

Sim Earth - Ice Planet

I'm still proud of this song. It's really calm and relaxing. ;)

It might also be the ADSR. Your ADSR is $ED $7F $F0 and the original is $ED $7F $E0. The echo uses that same ADSR too.

The Ice Planet port is tuned nicely (transposed up one semitone from the original, but they're all on the same key). but the choir is really lacking.. can't you find a way around those portamento values? The song is also a tad faster than the original..

Huh, none of my ADSR values are $ed $7f $f0 in that port. o_O They're either $ed $7f $ed, or $ed $7f $fx where x is higher than 0. :P

As of for the portamento, I was thinking to use $EE command to fine tune it, but otherwise I'm using $F4 $02 (portamento for all channels).

What's wrong with the choir though?

Noted and chords are correct, that instrument choice is just...not good, it lacks a lot in certain areas. The percussion in the MM7 intro level is supposed to stand out a lot more for example.

Oh, yeah, I noticed that about my Thunder Spirits port, but didn't fix that yet. The reason I had to lower the octave by one was the portamento. I may redo that song.. Thanks for the corrections though. :)
I finished this last night. It's a remix of a familiar tune. I probably won't submit it to the music section for quite a while, though.
