Hey man, even after more than a month without porting, I've beaten my own record! I've made a fully sampled DKC port in less than 12 hours! It's work of a ninja!
I don't use any program to help with porting, but an SPC player, Notepad and my ears. I think that was very, very fast.

This one sounds cool, I might recommend using the v command more in your ports because some of your instruments are barely hearable(?).

Some instruments are a bit cutoff to me and sometimes I have the feeling there are channels missing, but meh I don't know how the original sounds.
Double Dragon - Factory
Again I have the feeling there are some instruments missing. Your Orchesta hit sounds cutoff on some moments too.
Anyways they both sound good!

This one, err... sounds a bit weird. You might consider changing your Distortion guitar to a different instrument. The Enveloping is way too loud and I thought I heard a piano somewhere very soft. Some instruments sound off, make a better melody. Again, Luigi370 porting isn't going about putting some random notes as fast as possible in a text file. Your ports might sound better if you made them with more feel and not fast as apeshit.

@Torchkas, I have already updated it. I made it quickly because the level I want to make will be a fast thinking/bit kaizo-ish so it should fit.

Also I want to redo Cascade Capers. I foun good waterfall noise.

The sampled version is definitely detuned in the beginning, and you're missing that little scratch sample that comes in periodically, leading your percussion to be incomplete. Not only that, but the part that kicks in around :19 is very messy compared to the melodies playing around it. Oh, and the loop is off.

The unsampled version is definitely better, as you said, though still far from flawless. :35 and on in this one comes off as particularly harsh compared to the original.

@BlindAngel: Oh! Great! I have heared original but not in-game. It's very close to original. Great job on this shit!

Anynway as I said decided to redo Cascade Capers.

And I think it's closer than old one. And I think that these flute blips fits here well.

Kirby Super Star - Halberd ~ Nightmare Warship

Hey guys, I have finally finished porting this epic piece of music from Kirby Super Star! I spent 4 weeks working on it. The pitchslides were just insane, and took me forever to get them to sound right. I know this port is not perfectly accurate, but I am personally fond of how it turned out.

I ported this by ear just as usual. No NintSPC or other external references.

I hope you guys enjoy listening to this!

Seriously, you never cease to amaze me with ports like this. It would probably be more interesting to port a non-SNES song, but regardless this is really well done! Considering it's a fast-paced song too, nearly everything is identical to the original.


Oh, you...Wow, you really did re-port the entire song from scratch! Amazing job considering it's unsampled, and I like the pan/volume effects. Two things to note though, the last pitch bend on the @1 slides to a different note than the original. The @6 and @4 also get hard on the ears after a while. I like the @13/16 part a lot, though.

Wow.. probably the first time I've ported in forever lol. It's an original song I made and it'll probably sound familiar to some of you. ;)

That makes me want moar of snow. It should fit first level of your cancelled Ice World. Also do you want to release it? I love the strings and these hi-hat like christmas bells.
