The hack is not only full of cutoff and poor grammar, but also filled with sprite lag and arguably easier than the original SMW. Out of 10 points I give you -1 for this incredibly shitty hack.
Of course you should fight fire with fire, you should fight everything with fire.

Sorry to say this, but this hack is terrible and it is FAR from Kaizo. There is cutoff everywhere and all the levels are blatant edits.


Oh my gosh, this text in this message box is atrocious. Glitched tile, horrible spacing and very bad grammar. You can also die in the intro if you jump into one of the Koopas.


DON'T put blocks on the Tree or it'll create cutoff and don't edit level 104 or it'll mess up the ending.

This is why you should NEVER place Coins above Note or "?" Blocks. It creates an invisible space Mario can stand on. Though this glitch an be put to good use in a Kaizo hack.

This P-Switch run is entirely pointless. You can do the entire thing with just one switch. Also, Mario just continuously walks into the pipe. Extend the path a bit for Mario to finish his goal walk.


Incorrect Piranha Plant graphics. Click the Red Poison Mushroom and change SP4 to 04.


Couldn't you have just used land tiles instead of ? Blocks?

Overall, this hack is very bad. The level design is terrible, cutoff is everywhere, blatant edits are evident and this hack is NOT Kaizo at all.

0/10 - Don't bother continuing the hack. Learn the basics of Lunar Magic before uploading another hack.

The two above me got it all. I'm gonna play through this on video to show ABSOLUTELY everything wrong with it, though I'm pretty sure I'll just be repeating what's been said here.

Sadly, I was able to guess (correctly) that this hack was going to be total shit even before I clicked on the thread. :(

Also, in the Iggy screenshot, if an Eerie generator was added (making sure there are no glitched graphics, of course), that would make it a bit more challenging, maybe even Kaizo difficulty. That is far from the only thing needed changing, based on the screenshots I've seen.

also an underwater iggy battle is stupidly easy. Underwater boss battles are usually easy unless they're custom sprites designed to take advantage of the environment. I'd suggest making him Extra Strength Iggy if you want to keep it an underwater fight, but even then, it's probably rather breakable.

Welp, I said I'd tell you what I think of it, and I wasn't lying. Sort of.

I played the first level, didn't like it all, quit.

Came onto the forums to see other people with the same opinion as me.

Looked at Mariofan's screenshots

I don't think I'll be finishing the hack.

What about hydrothermal vents in the ocean? And lava =/= fire, and even if it was, Mario throws fire underwater (then again, maybe the lava should cool down and solidify in a short period of time).
Back on topic, if you wanted to keep Iggy, maybe edit the platform in some way, or if all else fails, a custom boss, maybe? Ill just take their word for it that an underwater boss battle is stupidly easy, where you have to jump on the foe. If it is in fact easier than the original SMW (have not played it yet) then what is this doing here in the Kaizo forum?
