I'm playing through diamond right now, and I'll tell you one thing:
It's sad.
Compared to the original games, these are way too easy. I remember training for hours on end to beat a gym leader, but now my Monferno just blazes through anything, even water pokemon
Also, I don't get some of the new pokemon...
Actually, after today when I played some FireRed to migrate some 1 gen pokemon to platinum, I noticed the one thing that actually makes this game easier,
THERE AREN'T THOUSANDS UPON THOUSAND OF ODDISH/GLOOM/ OTHER GRASS TYPES THAT CONSTANTLY BOMBARD YOU WITH POISON/SLEEPPOWDER AND STUN SPORE. (No this isn't the sole change that makes it easier, just a noteable one[maybe because I always choose the water starter though ])
Also Platinum is harder than D/P in a sense, but with some places being reachable early in the game in Platinum as opposed to towards the end of D/P means the lack of higher leveled pokemon (ex:wayward cave being accessible after 2nd gym)
Yeah, I remember pokemon yellow being extremely tough. I never tained my pikachu because he couldn't do a thing against Brock. I remember instead training a Mankey, and used that against everything.
Beat the Elite Four, too.

Heh, I just caught a pidgey in the very beginning and used that throughout the game. Also the E4 is been freaking easy considering you get all 3 of the starters in the game.
Time to use my 500th post for something a bit 'serious':
I noticed that some users are making threads about issues and putting the word "Discuss" without any content or any explanation from the thread creator.
Sure, they can put images or links but that probably isn't enough for some users who want the necessary information so they can develop their opinion by reading and reflecting about the issue that was brought by the thread creator.
If he/she puts the word "Discuss" then we would never know what the thread creator thinks of that issue. It's like saying that the thread creator is lazy of expressing his/her own opinions in that thread and wants others to do the dirty work for him/her.
There are other ways to bring an issue without using the word "Discuss", like making a brief summary with a bit of your own opinion. Of course, you have to be careful not to offend anyone.
Usually, the creator will explain an opinion in a later post, either to first hear other people's opinion to see any agreement beforehand, or for more posts.
True, but sometimes it won't happen. <_<
The real problem is the word "Discuss", it will become so overused to the point that it will become a bit annoying like a meme. Thus, it won't be original anymore.
Let's hope that something like that won't happen... yet. >_>

It practically is a meme. Have you only just noticed?

Don't forget that they all have the post edited, which apparently part of it as well from my point of view.
You know something? I bet all the other users get very annoyed when they see "NEW" when there are no new posts. I did, and I still do whenever the staff threads get a post. Those threads must be very inactive though.
Is this "other secret forum" the one from the magic button? Yeah, I've been digging up old threads, researching the history of the site.
I think the Rabbit Hole is deleted. But there is still one more secret forum than this forum. The staff forum. (I guess.)
There are a couple of staff only forums. I know of two. Top Secret and the second one was something like Something Reserve (Something meaning I don't remember what it is called).
What's even more annoying, is when I see a NEW in this forum, yet it is just a boring post.
Top Secret Area, User Discussion, and Deep Geologic Repository (for deleted posts and threads, admin only).
