When I was but a wee lad (with hey, ho, the wind and the rain), a law enforcement officer once visited my school and related an episode in which she encountered a young man with whom she was familiar, who displayed great enthusiasm for some festivities which were to take place that evening, in the context of which he vowed to "party hearty". He died shortly thereafter.
The moral of the story, as far as I could discern: Never express an intention to "party hearty", for you will surely perish.
Nope. I am for the most part anti-social(I do have a lot of friends though), I dislike loud music, and even if the music wasn't incredibly loud, it would probably be some terrible rap songs or incredibly overused modern songs... Not to mention I hate the majority of my age group.
If I ever do attend a party, I would probably end up being that one kid awkwardly wandering around without actually doing anything. Unless I had some friends there, which is very unlikely.
Eh...sort of. Depends on what your definition of party is. I'm against drinking alcohol, under age or not, so if there is alcohol or drugs and such at a party I'm going to leave (and I hope anyone would too). If the party is people just hanging out and listening to music/ dancing then...yeah I guess I do like to party in that sort.
Depends what kind of party. Getting together with some good friends, ordering Chinese food and playing video games all night long...that's what I call a damn fine party. Replace "video games" with "so bad it's good movies" and that's also very fun. I don't like the ones with crap music and alcohol, because I don't like anyone who I know that goes to them. Smaller social circles are more awesome social circles.
Even though I attend a university with one of the highest 'party school' ratings in the country, I have little experience with parties. I think this is because I too have come to associate the typical party with booze and (c)rap music. Of course, I probably wouldn't say no to a party that was more of a get-together with my friends and play some games and such.
You hear dice being thrown...

I haven't come to this site in years but this thread needs to be addressed.
Filled with idiots: That doesn't mean idiots are not entertaining. You don't have to act bigger then a concept when you're not.
Loud rap music: Oh darn, music is a joy of life. Even if you absolutely despise rap music like it was hitler its merely a sense of sound that can barley do more then make you go "oh, this song I don't like."
Alcohol: Nobody forcing you to drink
I detest most of the people who throw parties: Why? They're normal being abiding by a law of social conduct easily seen.
Full of sluts (I may be a pervert, but at least I have SOME standards...): Free sex? THAT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST THING EVER.
I don't have any friends that would go to a party: Bring some.
I'd be out of place: Only if you make yourself out of place, if you act like a social angsty teen and hate rap music and talk about how much you hate people who throw parties then people will treat you like one.
Alright now that Rorschach has the ball rolling I'll contribute.
>Filled with idiots
I attend parties whenever I can and I can tell you, of the four 18ths I've been to and a couple of parties here and there with drinks, they aren't all idiots. In fact, I'm the polar opposite of an idiot. So are a lot of my friends who go to these things. Just because they like to socialise at parties doesn't mean their intellect is lower than yours.
>Loud rap music
You're not going to a party because the music choice, which is only one genre played within a variety, is not to your liking? What do you want kids raised in the 21st century to listen to? Johnny Mathis?
>I detest most of the people who throw parties
Because it's their fault you don't make an effort to get to know them. Why do you detest them, exactly? Because they don't adhere to the conditions of your tick list regarding friends?
>Full of sluts
Wow, girls being a little outgoing is a deterrent? Guys can rock up to parties in nothing but their underwear and be treated like they always would but if a girl shows up in a low cut shirt and short shorts she's a slut? Seriously guys, at your ages you should be trying to get with girls, not thinking highly of yourselves and not succumbing to the temptations.
>I don't have any friends that would go to a party
Maybe it's because you try not to associate yourself with people like that. You know, because in your eyes, they're not worth your time.
>I'd be out of place
Just read what Rorschach said above me.
I understand being a little addicted to the internet and having standards but damn ... If you're people shy and people don't like you for reasons you didn't bring upon yourself, then okay, I understand. But being perfectly sociable and turning away people and party invitations for the reasons everyone is agreeing with is kind of sad.
It depends on the type of the party. If it's some sort of a home/birthday party, I will be more than happy to attend. Meeting with friends/family and making good memories are some of the things I love to do. The only type of party I don't really intend to go is 'Dance Parties'. When I was in middle school, I attended every school dance party. iirc, each dance party was about 2-3 hours long and I literally did nothing there (My friends were being assholes and ignored almost everything I said lol). After entering high school, I started realizing that dance parties are boring unless I'm more popular.
Don't mind birthday parties of friends/family, but otherwise I'm not really a fan of parties. Especially when I barely know anyone on the party.
Altough I have to say, the party at introduction camp from my school was pretty lulzy, even tough quite some people got drunk, and I actually didn't know most people.
I don't really mind when people get drunk, but people nowadays don't have a limit.
