Problem inserting ExGFX- UPDATE

This might belong in n00b SMW Hacking...
http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=showexgfx&id=170
I tried inserting those ExGFX. I read the FAQ, the help file, etc. etc. I removed the (BG1) from ExGFXFF9 (BG1).bin, and changed the other two files to ExGFX80.bin and ExGFX81.bin and inserted them to the ROM. I got this:

It also severely messed up almost everything else. What am I doing wrong? I just want some god damn outside corner tiles in my Switch Palace.
EDIT: Well, it looks like my thread got completely overlooked. Oh well, I'll post this anyway.
I tried adding one of them to FG1. This is what happened when I opened the 8x8 tile editor.

So, is it a problem with the .bin file? Is there a specific hex value I need to set it to? What's going on?

Ok, I downloaded those files.

First of all, those 2 other files you mention of (and renamed ExGFX80 and ExGFX81) are Map16 pages, and not ExGFX.

... And that's the big mistake. You'll have to remove those Map16 Pages from your ExGFX and use them as Map16 pages.
...Oh. And how exactly do I do that?
EDIT:

Pressing F5 will export all MAP16 data in pages x0-xF to a new file. Pressing F6 will import it if such a file exists. F7 will export all MAP16 data in pages x10-x1F to a new file. F8 will import it. F2 will export only the currently shown MAP16 page. F3 will load it back in.

From the FAQ. F6 only enables/disables the toolbar. What the hell?

I think you have to be focussed on the Map16 editor >_>
If by Map16 editor you mean the 16x16 tile editor, then no, it still just disables the toolbar and doesn't import the map16 files. If there's something else called a Map16 editor, then I have no clue what you're talking about.

Hm... By Map16 Editor, I meants 16x16 tile editor.

F6 does asks me if I want to load the Map16 page. This may be a problem with whatever...

My LM version is 1.63.0.0...

I can't help you at that point.
you didnt extract the original GFX first. extract the original GFX (on a new rom, yours is permanatly screwed now) then insert the exgfx, then insert the original gfx. if you want custom music, expand with Lunar Expand and initiate before you do this!
<TLMB> I use YY-CHR to edit DNA

I thought you extrack gfx > insert gfx > then insert exgfx.
It does nothing. I'm assuming that's for adding ExGFX; I'm actually trying to add Map16 pages.

Alright, I think I found the problem. It's simple, actually. If you need to rename ExGFX files "ExGFX##.bin", I'm guessing you have to do something similar with Map16 files. What do I need to name them? What folder do I need to put them in?

Uh... bump?

This is a really simple question. What do I need to rename the Map16 file? Where do I need to put it? That's all. Bump... again.

Bumps are after two weeks I believe.
You don't have to rename the Map16 files.
Well, damn. Is there a specific folder it needs to be in, or any other reason F6 won't do anything?
Also, since it won't let you double-post for 24 hours, I guess bumps are for 24 hours.

Bumps are when somebody posts in a dead thread, a thread that hasn't been posted in for two weeks. You're just double-posting, not nearly as bad, unless you use it to keep a dieing thread alive (witch you might be doing D:)
Anyways, It either has to be in the same folder as the ROM or as Lunar Magic, I can't remember witch, but something is telling me its Lunar Magic.
Map16Page.bin and Map16PageG.bin need to be in the folder with your ROM, then hit F3.
I put the files in the same folder as both my ROM and Lunar Magic, opened the ROM in Lunar Magic, pressed F3, pressed F6, opened the 16x16 tile editor, pressed F3, pressed F6, renamed them Map16Page.bin and Map16PageG.bin, pressed F3, pressed F6, opened the 16x16 tile editor, pressed F3, and pressed F6. Nothing happened. I looked through the menus for some way to insert Map16 files, but I couldn't find anything. This is really, really, REALLY frustrating.
EDIT: Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but F9 won't save my work in the tile editors, either. I tried to change the palette of a log, and I pressed F9. Nothing. I clicked a different tile and clicked the one I changed, and it was still using the old palette.

About that: you first have to choose a block, then edit it. And then, to save it, you have first to right click where you want to save it, than press F9.
Hmm... If I make a change, press F9, save the level, then go up one level and back, it resets all the changes. I thought I was supposed to extract/insert GFX after pressing F9 or something, but it doesn't work.
