Fun with ZSNES :D

Ok, I got bored so now I am sitting here playing with the sound channels and got some very cool music :) If you have a sound channel combo, post it like this:

Sound ch: 1 Enabled

Sound ch: 2 disabled

Etc.

I have to check what mine is set to quick.

EDIT: This is for the YI submap.

S CH 1: Disabled

S CH 2: Enabled

S CH 3: Disabled

S CH 4: Enabled

S CH 5: Disabled

S CH 6: Enabled

S CH 7: Disabled

S CH 8: Disabled

It sound pretty cool :)

I did this with NES music a while back to pretty cool effects: you can also try playing with graphics layers off: sprite layer is always challenging. ^_^

I'll probably get back to you on this one.
I'm part of the Testers for Hire thread, so if you'd like something play tested, no matter what it is, PM me, and I'll give you honest feedback. Anything else is in my profile.

Heh, I tried to play SMW with the platform layer off. All I had was enemies to judge my jumps, and sometimes not even they can help. It really is challenging.

Remembering it makes me want to do it again. XD

Wow! That's crazy!
I want to see how far I can get in the original game like that, that's fun
How do you turn off sound channels?
How come this thread isn't in the general emulation forum?

They're F5 Through F12 I believe

Anyways, I'm starting a challenge of playing through every single level in Super Mario World with Kuyukly's Idea of turning of the layer 1.I've only made 1 video so far, but it takes time to be able to play through the level presentably, especially for the harder levels.
KLIK MEH!!!!

Wow. It seems that everyone is aspiring against me. Ah, oh well, it is a daunting task... BUT I AM DETERMINED TO DO THIS POINTLESS THING!!! Don't ask me why, I don't know. I kind of like doing it for some reason or another. Anyway, below is the first three (the only one's I've done).

That's not soo fun. Fun is see how the game's scene works.
I think the noobs never suspected the Ludwig Von Koopa is not sprite, he is brute Layer 1, and the back ground is an sprite.
I've seen too, that some bosses that are too large to be an sprite are made with Layers. For example, one level before the last level of the game Mickey Mouse 3, the boss is an ogre made of Layer 2. The creators put an background of layer 1 (inside an mountain), to the players don't see the trees and snow behind the mountain moving around with the boss O_o.
Now I leave my IPS patches of my hacks for everyone play and edit as you want to.
