That newer level looks amazing

The and that underwater pipe level looks good for design but once again... PALLETTES!

So remember kids! If you ever get caught having tosave a princess from a foreign land after getting dragged down a drain pipe, jumping while spinning in a circle can help you greatly by allowing you to jump on spinning saw blades, ghosts, and allow you to control your jump better!


Is there still a level free to take? Because I have no other current projects I can fully focus on a level.

Only eXcavator can change the thread title but anywho I've already discussed this with the other members of the team via PMs a month ago when it was clear that this hack was going to die I asked them if they'd be cool with me finishing the hack and they said they were fine with it. This hack is still going to feature the levels already completed by the other members who made levels(with the exception of Shadowfire) but the levels from here on out are gonna be made by me. However if there are those that still wanna do a level I certainly wouldn't turn down any levels that get sent to me for this project.

Here's the latest baserom http://bin.smwcentral.net/u/14451/Lost08-19-12.zip there's a .txt included which lists everything that's already claimed. The blocks that are already claimed are on MAP16 page A. Let me know if there's any additional blocks/sprites/music that you want me to insert.

Yeah that's fine there's already a number of levels in this hack that are completely vanilla.

Now the rest of World 6 (with the exception of BlackMageMario's level) we have first a tide level with an underwater sublevel.






And the thrilling conclusion to World 6 is of course the castle.

Hey, I was thinking: Why not draw some Icy ExGFX for the level. Since SMW didn't have any real GFX for Ice levels, I'm going to draw some for them ;)
So.. I'll need 1 ExGFX file.

I'll post an YYCHR Screenshot tomorrow if I'm done then.

EDIT:

I'd also like a sublevel please because there will be a out- and indoor part.

Well, worked a bit tonight and here's are the first outdoor ExGFX. Comments?
Note: the spikes will go with another palet, they're for the indoor ExGFX

Bowser's Castle and the Rift Forest were both originally supposed to be done by multiple designers. So it really depends if there are people who want to work on them with me or not. So yeah when it comes time to do bowser's castle and the rift forest if you wanna work on them with me Daizo sure that's fine.

The first 6 worlds. The first 3 levels of the pipe world leaving one level left for the pipe world. As for world 7 the Frozen Ghost House is finished, world 8 has two completed levels Firestorm Fortress(by Daizo) and Molten Mountain(by Steeled Miner) and 3 of the 9 special world levels are complete. I still have to do boss battles for the castles and fortresses though.

I'm sorry, I haven't been working a lot on my Snow/Ice GFX lately, I was busy with my own hack :(.

So the Outdoor GFX is finished, although I didn't have a lot of changes since my last post.

EDIT 2: I made some improvements for the tileset, mainly thicking the walking tiles, see for yourself:

You could perhaps add some enemy's and decoration in those screens to make things more challenging.

Sure, this is just a test for my custom ExGFX, which will be expanded soon with some bushes and other icy stuff.
