Sure man you can claim whatever resources you need. As for sublevels whatever isn't being used in the baserom should be fine. Oh Hell No has claimed 3A and BlackMageMario claimed 4B but aside from that whatever isn't in the baserom.

I'm finally done this level! =O

After months of work, this level is finally complete and I do not have to worry about it for any longer (unless there are things to fix). It was called Foot-Ball Frost, but when I made the second half of the level, it had nothing to do with footballs. So I renamed it to Formidable Forest because its really difficult, even for me! O_O

That looks like a pretty awesome level I think Daizo. Although it looks hard (maybe too hard, but that depends on the world), it has some cool ideas in there. I especially like what you've done with the bullet bill;s in the water. That's quite cool I think.

Its the Ice Forest world, and thanks JDC. I think its safe to admit that this is my best level. Sadly enough that this knowledge is lacking for your collab. =( It was only luck for Industrial Interior.

BTW, VIP 5 got the best of me for this level. XD

It's for world 7 and I think the difficulty is perfect.

The level is perfect I see no problems with it just put in a secret exit and send me your resources and it can be inserted into the rom.

Thanks, Sockbat, but I want a couple of more testers to test the level to make sure that it's fully "done".

Anyway, Daizo, here is my report:

Very good level! While I did struggle with it a bit, the length was perfect for a hard level.

There were a couple of issues, so here they are (note: These will be out of order):

Level Design Issues (Major)



The space where the Urchant is is kinda small for Mario to fit in (basically, when the Urchant is at left-most side, Mario only has a one block wide hole though go through). Although I know this is supposed to be a hard level, maybe you could revise it and make it a block wider?



That football came out of nowhere. I know you warned us about footballs from heaven, but could you put in some indication where the footballs are going to fall?



The player can get stuck here. Maybe put a block somewhere to help them out?



This is a tight fit for Big Mario to get through without getting damaged. It might be a good idea to either raise the muncher ceiling or to get rid of the right-most one.



This Urchant can sometimes come up before you are prepared for him. Again, some indication that he's there would be nice.



(The fish start at the left-most side) I find this kinda cheap, considering that some people might not have time to react to the fish swimming towards you. Maybe move the pipe slightly to the right?



Final big issue: that coin is not worth it as Big Mario. The Urchant is too fast for you to reasonablly get in and grab the coin and get out. Lowering the floor would probably solve this.

Level Design Issues (Minor) and Graphic Issues



A reward for getting up here and past the Chuck might be a good idea, even if it is just coins. Also, look at the slope; there are some minor cutoff between the wall and the slope itself.

Other than that, the level design is solid, and the anesthics are great! Nice work, Daizo. Fix those issues, and you'll be golden.

1. I'll get right on that.
2. Graphics drawing may do the trick, but the key is to be as cautious as possible.
3. I find this kind of minor actually and that's obviously your fault for going down there. Learn from your mistakes is another thing in this level.
4. Unless you know about the press down while swimming trick. I think this is another minor thing. But if I need to, I'll do so.
5. Again, same as #2.
6. I'll get right on that.

(Minor)
1. I'll put a mushroom there. Also the graphics issue there is very minor, and its not for me to fix.

I got past that urchin just fine. It doesn't move fast enough for this to be an issue I found.

Completion of new levels are less frequent now because I'm doing touch-ups/bug-fixes now on all my old already completed levels. Not quite as fun as making new levels but of course a necessary part of making a hack. However I am right now working on a new level that's almost finished. It's the world 7 castle.

Never mind, I don't think I had anything to do with that. While I'm here though might as well comment.

@Sockbat Replica: The Ice Castle level is looking really nice. Pretty nice enemy choices here and there. The only thing I'm not liking about the level is the background so far as it looks a bit simplistic and doesn't really make much since too me.

But other then that, nice work so far.

By the way the hack is looking great. I take it my levels are still in there? :P
So remember kids! If you ever get caught having tosave a princess from a foreign land after getting dragged down a drain pipe, jumping while spinning in a circle can help you greatly by allowing you to jump on spinning saw blades, ghosts, and allow you to control your jump better!
