The Classic Creative Reassembly [team hack]

Standard

Sounds good Shog, I'll take a look at it in a little bit.
Good job Shog I played it and didn't find any big flaws. The sky segment is a lot better designed and was quite challenging.

I'll insert the level the next time we update the base.
Just want to let you guys know that I'm still aware of my cookies and cream level and I've been tweaking it here and there. Life has been getting in the way lately but I'll have something for you guys fairly soon.

Feel free to check out my SMB3 project. Finished and ready for you to play! :)

@AlanJacobs

Oh it's no problem, I know how life can get in the way at times. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Been too long since I've designed a level so I'll go ahead and claim Reassembled level 1 in Deserted Retreat. I'll probably go for an island theme.
Here is how my level is looking so far:

I plan to change up the background eventually.
Looks nice but I think you should need a better transition between the grassy/dirt ground. This may be hard, because it's supossed to be vanilla-ish but with a small GFX edit you'd make a much better transition. Otherwise it's good.
Thanks Wormer21, and yeah I was debating how good that transition looked. I'll try and see if I can find a tile that'll make it look better.
@SilverSwallow
If you have enough palette space you can try changing the brown grass into something that better blends with both the green grass and brown ground.

Alright here is a new idea of mine “Vanilla Sewers”:

@Aqua

Vanilla Sewers seem at first glance like a good idea, however...with the cramped place, the only way to design a funny level with it is a puzzle level in my opinion.

Furthermore I suggest trying a silver color for the Pipes themselves. And use such colors that the bricks inside appear not as bricks but look like a "seemless" wall (Note: Just try that out to see if it fits sewer better or not)
I was actually planning on widening it up more than how I’ve shown the sewers so far and making it a somewhat linear level. However I kind of like the idea of turning it into a puzzle level. We don’t really have any puzzle levels (or at least I can’t think of any) in this hack right now.

Thanks for your feedback Shog.
@Aquamentus

I like that vanilla sewer idea there, I'm sure you'll make use of it in a interesting way. To mix things up why not try making the sewer lava themed? You could have lava gushing from pipes instead of water, and make use of many fire type enemies. This is just a suggestion of course.
Progress on this level is slow but I'm getting there.

I'm thinking about making the second section take place at night. Unsure if I'll keep this palette.

Keep it. It looks nice in my opinion.
May I claim sublevel 30 for the final level?
@KY2010

Sure, I'll just make a quick note that you've taken that sublevel.
It's good that this hack is still going on! I commend you guys for keeping it up! It's a shame though that the level I made is absent, unless I'm missing something. Oh well, it's okay.

Oh no your level is still in the hack we just felt the main post was getting too cluttered and hard to read. So we altered it to include only the "in progress" or "not yet claimed" levels. So now once a level is finished it is removed from the list on the first page.

Right now I notice some finished levels are still on that list, we'll get around to fixing that.

I guess there are some incompatibilities since this hack began a while ago and a lot of versions of Lunar Magic have been released since it started.
