Sorry i didn't work on GFX for muncher's muschroom version, I only did work on smaal version sorry.

I hear crackling here. Something tells me you're using a non-405 Addmusic and/or forgot making the first 240 milliseconds silent (v0). It's not required to fix this, but it's highly recommended.


Is there any reason why Munchers kill each other in this hack?
...and is there any reason why this Muncher is called Mario?


Blue coins become red blocks when a P-Switch is hit, which looks quite funky when I can collect them.


Interesting trap. I'd expect many players to jump down and not see the lava pit in time, but I'm not sure if it's a removal reason.


...and this is just annoying. I have to perfectly time pressing and releasing the spinjump button to get past. Make the roof higher if you're sure this trap is necessary.

I stopped playing at this point. I'm pretty sure this one won't stand a chance if you submit it as an IPS patch.

Reasons

You fixed a few things it seems, but not a whole lot. (I'm not going to post screenshots since I feel they're not needed here.)

Your hack's biggest flaw is still its level design and its unfairness in places. Not bothering to fix the design flaws Alcaro mentioned and recommending savestates instead isn't the best way to go.

Also, almost all in-game texts still say "Mario" and the 2 player option isn't disabled, making an oddly-colored "Luigi" muncher playable. This comes off as pretty unprofessional.

Oh, and some sprite tiles disappear in the auto-scroll section of Iggy's castle (this one might have needed a screenshot, but screw it). The easiest and best solution would be to remove a few sprites.
