Super Mario Bros. Enhanced

The Lost Levels Enhanced

Super Mario World Enhanced

Re-releases of my old hacks from 2005 under new names.

They're now fully compatible with newer emulators, and have had some audio problems fixed. There is little to no change in gameplay, so if you've played these hacks before, there's not much new for you.

Lots of thanks to Smallhacker for his invaluable help over the last few days. He's a gent.

Feel free to take anything you want from these hacks, or to use them as a base for your own hack. Credit would be appreciated.

Enjoy!
The lost levels one looks like it could be fun. Methinks I'll try it soon.

Not exactly, but I have something much bigger in the works. Watch this space!
You just love SMAS Pac, do you? :P
Judging by the screenshots, you've done a very nice job on these hacks. I think I'll try the Lost Levels one. Also, I really like the "boxarts"!
@Hadron thanks!

Just to let everybody know, I found a few problems with the hacks after releasing them, so I uploaded replacements. Re-download if you wish.
Hm...I just played a few levels of the SMB1 one, and you know, there are a few custom sprites you could use to make them even more like SMB1 and The Lost Levels. There is a real goal tape sprite, and its graphics could replace those of the shell-less Koopas. There are also continuously-spawning platforms (like the ones in 1-2) and probably more. Also, why don't the levels have midway points? If you're worried about graphic clashes with the SMW midway points, it would be possible to make them invisible like SMB1 did, setting the midway flag once the player is past a certain point.
imamelia, keep in mind that these were made back in 2005, when custom sprites weren't available. This release is just a bug fix, so nothing new was added.
Oh, okay. If it's just a bug fix and not intended to take advantage of new stuff, then never mind.
oh this takes me back. back in late 2005 when i first discovered SMW hacking the only hacks i played were The Ninji Saga, Dr. Mario World, and these lost levels classics. it's really a joy to download and play these hacks after such a long time. nostalgia man.
