#w{=3} I took the liberty of Changing the overworld and replaced a level. Get over the time challenge thing with hugs and kisses! #w{=D} I made the entire game prettier and that is pretty much it! I also changed the title screen! I do not know how to add screenshots and enjoy it!#w{=P}
You post screenshots by uploading them to either your filebin or to an image hosting site such as imageshack, and then click the image button at the top of your post and paste the image URL. Also, I see you have a version 2.0 as well as a 3.0 in your filebin.

Despite the interesting graphics, I saw that most, if not all of the levels I played were just edited levels from the original. The bit with the 3 layers of invisible coin blocks after the pokeys weren't fun, and I stopped playing there.
So I played through it. Still has blatant edits of YI 1 and 2. They're not even changed from the original version 1.0 except for the slightly longer Muncher pit in the second level. I felt like in level 1, that I did almost nothing but bullet hopping.
Here's why I don't like having to carry power-ups from level to level: it means that I am forced to play through another level just for a power-up so I can try the level I'm on again. Level 2 requires a mushroom from level 1, and there was one point where I screwed up a savestate on level 2, and since the mushroom in level 1 isn't until the very end, I have to play through level 1 again just to try level 2 again. At least level 1 wasn't hard at all.
The invisible coin-blocks aren't so much challenging as they are tedious. They are way overused, not even for puzzles.
I assume that one level was supposed to be a time challenge? Well, I got through it with 53 seconds remaining. It would still be possible with a mere 54 seconds, although if it's short enough for that, then it's probably too short.
The entire second room of the castle is just the unchanged wooden columns room from Iggy's castle in SMW. If we don't like blatant edits, what makes you think we will tolerate unchanged sublevels?
The last level had severe sprite lag in the part with the Lotuses and the Sumo Bros. Not only that, but spin jumping off of note blocks is not fun and very difficult to do in real time, harder than P-Switch jumping.

you don't need to spin jump off of a note block. you need a blue tile from a screen over and kill the lotus. this is only a demo and it is supposed to be tedious and this is my first kaizo hack and i am still working on it. please don't be so picky.#w{:<}
I never meant to discourage. If I go easy just because it's your first hack, then how are you going to improve?
Also, I just can't help being a little harsh because I have made and watched videos of a bunch of Kaizo levels (and videos of non-Kaizo ones too). Ctrl+delete isn't hard at all.
Have you tried sketching out level ideas? That's a pretty good way of building up creativity.
Now I feel dumb for not thinking of grabbing one of the blue blocks to kill the Lotus in that one part. Shows how much I over-complicate things.
Wait a minute, supposed to be tedious? Yet another misconception of Kaizo. Tedious =/= challenging. Here's a pretty well known video meant to demonstrate how unfun coin blocks can be. I remember when Azureblade used to LP ROM hacks.

i'm sorry for overreacting and the story is that dino land is covered in a dark force so that is why i didn't do ctrl delete. please understand. also v4.0 is out! by the way we all feel stupid when we do stuff we shouldn't and do it the harder way #w{=P}

Honestly that is a stupid reason not to change the levels with ctrl+delete, really stupid, sorry but that's just not cutting it.

Besides, Dino land is different everytime so your reason is not working.

I see that your new in all so I'd recommend not trying kaizo so early, don't make the same mistake I did.

Well not in my hack. You see, enemies grew smarter and gaps got bigger. Now Dinosaur Land is an abandoned battlefield. oh by the way i made tons of kaizo hacks so i had practiced but none of them came out as good as this one.
You've clearly thought a lot about the storyline (after the creation of the levels I assume), but that doesn't make it any more fun to play =( sorry.
dont worry it is only yoshi's island 1,and 2 and donut plains 1 the rest is all me.

The hack is still not that fun (at all), try looking at This and This (<-- go to 0:49 and 3:22 which is an example of what you did :/) video of what not to make in kaizo hacks, also, might wanna check My (very WIP) Kaizo tutorial Crossed that because my tutorial has allot of broken images.

IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FUN. it is supposed to be tedious and mean mine is not the best kaizo hack in the world and to be honest i dont like making kaizo levels anymore. it is too boring and ill just quit
I don't know what the point is of knowingly making a hack tedious. Is there any fun in tedium? Not to mention if the creator agrees it's tedious while playing their own hack and not having fun, then something is wrong.
I get the feeling this forum is getting emptier by the day. Kinda sad. Did teh world disa pear?
Will I ever truly understand why everyone else insists that all invisible coinblocks be marked or outlined? I suspect that the mentality of 'Kaizo is tedious' was what led to Azureblade and ProtonJon quitting ROM hack LP's.

I agree to Sokobansolver here, A kaizo hack can be fun too, and also editing existing levels is borring, making Kaizo remakes is borring and even flouting munchers/balloons are ugly, if your going to have death blocks, use mines or death blocks that have ether a [X] or a skull on it.

u know what I won't give up! I'll make the levels harder, more fun, and I'll polish all of them! Btw...thanks for offering yer sprites but i want to go for a vanilla/strawberry hack im not looking for custom sprites but thanks anyway...#w{=P}
Mines/Death blocks aren't sprites, there munchers with different GFX and I'm not offering sprites nor GFX for munchers, if ya want 'em so bad, I suggest making your own or looking in The Graphics Section.

And make sure its approved by ether me or other kaizo hackers that way you don't go through what I did :/

like have ALEXANDER as a troll, ugg, so annoying.
