I actually did apply the BG to Volcanic Panic and took screenshots of it, but for some god forsaken reason, I forgot to upload those screens. In any case, here they are.



Something will need to be done about the sky, though.

Regarding Karatekid's screen, I remember DPhoenix wanting the "outer" portions of the level to have a, well, outside background- which is why I didn't bother with the indoor segment (that afformentioned screen). I suppose that screen could work, or even a firey version of Crystalline Citadel's since both level tiles have essentially the "same" graphic.

I can't spell.

Are HDMA gradients not an option?

Sure, space restraints and whatnot. At least the coloring might be somehting to consider replicating with Map16 gradients, right?

HDMA is (always) an option, yes. When I saw your name attached to the end of the topic, I was afraid that you actually pulled a volcano BG out from nowhere that you'd showcase.







While I'm still awake, here's the rest of the BGs I pulled up.


Thank God Vitor for SNESGFX. Ignore the glitched BG in the third one.

If anyone want a try at making palettes for any of the suggested BGs I posted in this thread lately, here's a patch. Subjected levels include, 22, 101, 102, 104, 122, 127, and 128.

Afraid, huh? Good thing I didn't make one then. :p
I guess If any more backgrounds are desperately needed (not into it right now), I could always try and make one. (Free time on weekdays will be rare as of next week, though.)

The diagonal wooden beam has to be redrawn. Just like what picture described


Aside from that, I add new BG to Cumulus Chapel. The level wouldn't be look better without HDMA and kurusozu (Japanese transcription of "coolsauce") layer 3 stuff (like transparent cloud).

Just going to say that the sand graphic in W4B-Switch need its new graphic, as I don't like hows it came out.

Aside from that, the font for message box has to be redrawn.

Yeah it looks good. Though I see the first half of the level being more outside.

I no longer have interest in SMW Hacking as I did when I first started several years ago.
I think it could use a bit of a redraw so it doesn't look as shiny, with it being in a warm shrine and all that(especially the bricks). There should be a bunch of free space in the graphics file, so why not redo a couple tiles?

Not to mention the Mecha-Koopa need its graphic, too. Since someone are smart enough to remove the graphic.

1) And why can't we simply the graphics from a past base ?_?
2) You know, there's a reason why it's been removed. It's not used in any level.

Hello, Lightvayne, I'm going to mentions that GN's ice castle needs its layer 3 background.
