Tip: Switch palace switches normally disappear if you replay the level. However, if you insert them as direct Map16 and use the hex-edit at $00EEB2 in the ROM map, you can replay the level without a problem. Not logged in.

To celebrate my 1000th post, here's another kaizo hack I'm working on, with a difficulty range. Its level design comes from normal level design to vanilla design, and I'm trying to do my possible to be creative and original. The last level will be a puzzly ghost house, with a boss and a surprise (I'll not spoil the surprise BTW). There's also a special world, but to access it, you must press a switch in that last level (it has 2 exits). Here are some screenshots of it:

Yay for berry gimmick.

You must take damage because the ? block contain a flower, so, you will need the mushroom.

I am screwed because of the thwomp coming to me.

The last level. I will only make the rest of it when I am done with all the levels.
The athletic level looks real intense!

How am I so creative? I think taking walks might have something to do with it.
Every single level I will ever make in SMM2 will be easier than Ultra Necrozma.
And this is my 900th! Cheers! :D

Back on topic, I'm liking this judging by the screens. On every single one I see a "gimmick", then your hack must be puzzlefic and creative. And nice palette for the desert level you made there, I liked it.

Looks very challenging and very creative too. Very nice! ^^
More screenshots.

You must collect all the coins minus the last ones because you must let the thwomp go down or he won't do that.

This screen is obsolete.

The second room of the first castle.

Interesting. I never could figure out why Thwomps sometimes go down even when you're nowhere near them, and I still don't know. This may be the first time I've seen a hack that takes advantage of that.

That's right. A Yoshi-head cavern. This may or may not be the second level.

What drugs were you on when you came up with this level? Just had to 1-up me and my Keyjump Cavern idea, didn't you? :P

Lol, I couldn't come with something better, and came up with this cave of yoshi heads :P
EDIT: Modified the beginning of the level, and I wasn't planning to get a cave of Yoshi heads anyway :P
EDIT2: Decided to drop this level.
Yeah the last post was a while ago, can you update us?

Just wait, 'cause I'm still working on this hack's levels. However, I don't want to post more screenshots yet.
Hey, you remember this thread? I almost don't. But here are more screenshots of this hack.

Part of Pokey Desert.

This Pokey part was taken from Sokobansolver's idea which was scrapped. Also, those red blocks are Ersanio's C3 blocks.

Self-explanatory, I think.

I'm having fun with this gimmick so far. Thanks to Ladida for the code and Austin for helping me with the code order.

Remember that room? It's the one that was my 24 hour II entry, now made harder.
Oh, it's miguel.

Yes, it's me, the same guy that makes kaizo hacks.
Welcome to my 2000th post! And with that, I'll celebrate with nothing more than an update of Save'n State.

This is the day part of level 2. Stomp on the shell so it runs like there was a sprite buovancy there.

A puzzle I've thought out for Pokey Desert. You have to let the Pokey have 5 segments to get hurt by him while on Yoshi.

The beginning of the ON/OFF switch block level.

Level 3. This is NOT inspired by Ripley's Aquarium from MMD2, I had this idea before (as well as worldpeace).

Underwater part.

Testing out a concept for my Tubular 2 based level. I found out that it is not possible to get the chuck to go to the rope, so I'll modify this part somewhat. I am thinking on either making this a world 1 fortress or castle.
Feedback? Questions?

I'm not really clear on what that means.

Looks fun.

Ditto. Altho unless I'm missing something, couldn't the player just run the gap, and if they do, what is the point of the Koopa at the bottom?

The shell is the one that you can bounce twice, and if you stomp it, it looks like it's kicked again.

Yeah, I forgot about that. And the point of the koopa is to serve as an obstacle, but yeah you're right. I'll probably be replacing him with a Rip Van Fish and extend the gap.
Looks hard on a scale of 1/10, 1 being easy how hard do think the levels are?

I think the levels start easy and then later end up being harder, some of them will need glitches. Dunno if that's what you meant.
Anyway, more screens:

You will have to make the spiny touch the shell so it turns around.

Chuck bit.

This is why you need the Chuck. Make the spiny touch it so it will turn around.
First stage video. And also more screenshots of level 2 before the level video:

You have barely enough time to react before the bob-omb explode and the spiny is killed.

Fire shenanigans.
Triple post! :O Also, level 2 video. Forget the weird white thing at the beginning, I am using another resolution.
The design looks fun and aside from maybe 3:32, it doesn't look like you copied anything. And even then that part isn't completely unoriginal because I used the edge of the screen, and you used a goal. I can't quite explain how, but even tho the design is generally original and creative, something about it reminds me of my own design style. Maybe I answered my own question right there.
I guess I didn't feel the need to post in this thread because posting comments on the video still counts as saying stuff about the hack, and also because I couldn't think of anything to say.
