I know I already made a thread about this a few months ago, but I added more features so meh. And it got buried pretty fast. Hopefully it still counts as a C3 project.
Besides that, we all know C3 threads are cooler.

I present to you the latest version of GradientTool!

GradientTool is an HDMA gradient generator; it allows you to generate gradients using linear, sinewave, cubic, Catmull-Rom, or Hermite interpolation.
It also supports scrolling gradients and palette gradients.
In the latest version, there's a grid that appears when you zoom in 4x or more; you also have the choice of which units you use in the colour selector. Catmull-Rom and Hermite interpolation were also introduced.

Bundled with this application are some example ASM files for using scrolling HDMA gradients; one is a table, and the other is the code.

Requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or 3.5

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Oh ho ho, this looks pretty splendid to check out. I had a previous version of this but never really got around to using it, so this could serve as an incentive to get on that.

I waited a long time for this. I will surely use this.

Yes! Finally, an update to one of the most useful, yet underused, tools ever!
Hmm, looks like there were a minor bug in the release, as well as some incorrect text.
Fixed.

Changes:
  • The grid does not appear until the zoom level is 6x or more.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a bug concerning hue wrap-around in the colour selector.
  • Fixed some incorrect text.

Note to tool moderators: I uploaded the previous version (0.8.1.1) before uploading this fix (0.8.1.4). The previous version can be removed. (The trailing ".1" is not present in the title of the older version.)

--------------------
It'll be very useful for me, as I'm developing differents HDMA effects and this tool can really be useful.

Good Job!
I was certain I fixed this bug, but I guess not.
v0.8.1.5

Bugfix:
  • Fixed a nasty bug where zooming in so that a scrollbar would appear beside the gradient editor, and then zooming out a bit would cause the gradient editor to shift downward, leaving a very large gap at the top.

--------------------
v0.8.1.6.

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a bug where changing the units used in the colour selector and changing the RGB values would cause the HSL values to be displayed as degrees and percentages rather than the selected units.
  • Fixed a bug where GradientTool would crash due to rounding errors that cause the HSL and/or RGB values to go beyond the maximum range; this primarily affected the eyedropper tool.

I also modified the scrolling gradient example routine so that it is usable with Constant Scrolling for BG2 scrolling; in addition, I included an alternate version which allows you to use an arbitrary table.

Edit: Now at v0.8.1.7, with a bugfix unworthy of bumping this thread:
  • Fixed an old bug where if two gradient stops were placed at 100%, then the last scanline of the gradient would be black instead of the colour it was supposed to be.

--------------------
Looks like a pretty update. Although I wished you have put a code that makes HDMA scroll way slower, even that the 3rd Layer, in order to replicate the scrolling HDMA in Yoshi's ISland.

Wow, I've been using the original GradientTool of yours for HDMA in my hack, now we have an updatye!
