I don't have much summer plans. I was planning to get a driver's license, but I used the money I saved up to pay an unexpected huge bill.

I guess my holiday will consist of an irregular pattern of working and boredom. Maybe I should practice programming when I'm bored, I dunno yet.

I do have plans to meet up various people from this site in The Netherlands though, on the 11th of July. Definitely looking forward to that :D

--------------------
My blog. I could post stuff now and then

My Assembly for the SNES tutorial.
Got out of college for the semester in early May, so I've had a bit of time to relax. As far as plans:

-Debate camp in August. It's a week long and is a great way to practice for the season starting in fall.

-New Student Orientation: I'm a leader for next year, so I help out incoming freshmen and arrange activities and such for a week at the end of August.

-Going to a friend's wedding tomorrow. She gave me piano lessons when I was a lot younger and is a generally awesome person, so I'm really happy for her.

-Planning to get a lot of hack work done, along with possible volunteer work and a job. I'm also preparing speeches and debate research for next year.
Like S.N.N., and almost every other college/university student, I've been done school for a couple months. While I still have an online class for the summer, I don't exactly count that as being full out schooling.

Anyways, my summer plans don't really consist of much. Really, my time has been devoted to working (which counts as a physical workout in itself, so yay), and completing my online psychology class. My future plans consist of reading manga, practicing kendo, getting my full G licence, and maybe learning Python; the latter being after I finish my online class.

I really just want to enjoy the last free summer that I'll have, since I won't have one in the next five or so years.

School ended about a week ago for me.
There are three important things that I have to do this summer.
One of them being my extended essay. I need to finish writing the first draft of it by the time school starts. EE counts as part of the IB program, and if I completely mess that assignment up, I will not be able to obtain the IB diploma. It's that serious.
Secondly, I need to find a part-time job because two of my friends from SMWC will visit Japan in August, and I want enough money so that I will be able to buy some manga and CDs with them at comicket and some other place.
I also need to join some sort of weekly volunteer activity for CAS. What is CAS? Something evil that will ruin your precious high school life.

...Wow, that's a pretty painful summer break if you ask me, at least you'll have fun with your friends from SMWC.

Its good to see that so many people have really laid back goals in mind over the summer, nothing too ambitious, but still something to keep you from going brain-dead with boredom (except for Ersanio). As for those of you in the middle of Winter, maybe you'll have fun on your Winter Break? Who knows.

What about any vacations coming up? Anything that hasn't already been mentioned. As for me, I just discovered the fact that in August I will be heading on an Alaskan Cruise. I'm a luck bitch am I not? That'll be an exciting trip, especially since I'm going to be meeting up with family I never even knew I had.

Hmm. . . not sure what to say so I'll just stop talking. . .

Well, I really wanted to finish coding the blog/forum I had started on more than anything, but I got no time for that when my dad wants me to help him finish all this garden work with him. >_<

Any-who, as far as I know, all I'm really going to be doing this summer is going to Oslo (capital of Norway) to visit some relatives and working on the garden my dad has starting outside.

If there's anything I want to do this summer;
  • Finish coding the blog + forum I'm working on
  • See if I can get permission to fix up the Dance Dance Revolution machine at the bowling hall (it's in a shitty condition right now)
  • Upgrade my current PC, it's currently running like absolute shit
That's it I guess, nothing else I can think right now.

Well, since I'm coming from a very low income family, I've never gone on vacation, and I once again will not.

It'll be just like every other summer for me. Laze around all day, throw on an extra 20-30 pounds, and do absolutely nothing. None of my friends actually live close to me at all (90% of them actually live in a town next to mine) and we don't own a car, so even that's not an option.

Honestly, I think I'm one of the only people that actually can't stand it when summer rolls around. Doing nothing sure beats doing a lot of schoolwork everyday, but after the first week it gets incredibly dull, boring, and useless. At least homework has variation.

Nixon's the one.
I'd really love to learn how to port music to SMW, and become relatively proficient with the process at that. I downloaded the necessary tools and guide, and now it's just a matter of sitting down for a good couple of hours and teaching the stuff to myself. My time will be pretty limited since I'm interning at a nearby lab for most of the summer, but hopefully I'll be able to at least learn the basics.

I've also been thinking of starting a sort of general music guide (unrelated to porting) to contribute something of use to the forums, but so many exist online already that I don't know if I should bother, since such an undertaking would be really time-consuming, and I'd likely need a lot of help with it as well. (Not that I'm incredibly qualified to make a guide like this or anything; it's just that over the course of 2 or 3 years, I've learned some music theory stuff that could be of use to people who might not have, or have had, access to theory courses at their schools, like I was fortunate enough to have.)

Productive things aside, I need to get around to playing Secret of Mana. I've had that damn thing on my Wii for over a year, and I still haven't played it.
I'm going to fly to Winnipeg next month to visit the city and shop.

A couple of weeks later will be my younger sister's wedding.

And finally at the end of the summer, by Labour Day to be exact, I'll be moving to a smaller city in Michigan.

When I get time off, I'll play some particular hacks to get reviews on.

Your layout has been removed...NOT! :D
My plans:

-sleep
-work on a smw hack for once
-go to the gym
-play video games like I do every day

Pretty much.

This summer I actually want to hang out with friends. 2 of my classes next year, Honors English 11 and A.P. U.S. History (APHUSH) have given me homework over the summer. And if that wasn't enough, there are due dates DURING the summer. So I have a total of 5 summer assignments to do, all of which require a lot of reading and writing.

I also plan to get a really good start on my hack but summer's almost half over and I still haven't completed a demo. Otherwise, I can swim and hang out with my family, and just relax in general.
All I really wanted to do this summer was 100% complete SMG2, which I did. Perfect run took me 5 days, but I finally did it.
I was also gonna 100% Xenoblade, but I kind been procrastinating on that (one of these days, I tell ya).
I might go and complete SMG as well, but that's just tedious, not hard.
My vacations will only come next week, yay. I will feel the need to probably postcount more travel to my cousin's house, and stuff. Also, it's not Summer here, only Winter, so, the two weeks vacation is going to be colder than I expected.
It's going to be programming for me here. I hope to get a lot of work done on my programming projects.

I'll maybe get a job.

MAYBE

Also DooM hacking and maybe i'll work on romhacks again.

Working on a hack I probably won't even finish.
Nice to have some breathing room! I plan on catching up on the huge amount of fiction I've been slacking off from reading this year, and also making sure to watch as many of the new films coming out as my budget can stretch to afford. Friends are great, going round to their place is like a free night out filled with video games and awful films. I would say exercise and stuff, but my running always seems to go wrong in a hilariously disastrous fashion. Why can't farmers keep their dangerous dogs away in their garden and not out where they can get me? |':

I also have to write a personal statement and do an extended research project, but I try not to think about that. If I do, there's always the wall I suppose to knock those awful non-procrastination thoughts out again!
Sometime this month I'm going to Alaska so that should be fun.
I'm also looking for a job to keep me occupied. Plus I have to look after my dad who had shoulder surgery and can't use it for 3-6 months.
