Thanks for fixing those! May I ask what the glitch was at screen B? During my two playthroughs of the level I didn't manage to replicate that glitch so I'm somewhat curious as to what it was?
Anyways, there's a few minor things, but otherwise, the level is done.
Problems
-A really minor nitpick, but it'd be appreciated if you could expand the tiles down to the bottom row as well as some emulators can see the very first pixel of the bottom row in Lunar magic.
-Screen A: playing through the level again, the yoshi coin setup seems awkward as Big Mario compared to little mario. If there's a way you could alter this, that'd be great. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine as it is.
-Screen E: The castle block below the spike here at the very top isn't solid and small mario can pass right through it.
-Screen E: Although most of the tiles now have layer priority, the two very last ones don't. That is, the tile above and below the far right wall of the secret exit passage.
-Sublevel 4A, Screen 7: Forgot to mention this before, but there should be a goal tape thing here in case you were wondering earlier.
Well that's it. I would approve the level as is, but the two minor issues at screen E could do with being fixed first I reckon.
Also, I'd like to hear your opinions on the level name and music choice if you want. If you have your own suggestions, that'd be cool too.
Really great Level Oh Hell No! Those are two little Cutoffs I noticed:
It´s the yellow flower-tile there, which is cut off at the edge-block of the grass... Maybe you could fix that redrawing the GFX a bit?
There are missing Blocks at top of the Screen (maybe caused by the Emulator)! ;)
Sorry if JDC already mentioned these bugs. C3 stuff: http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=67626 HDMA-Codes and Custom Music included!
Changelog v1.2:
10A
- Realized I had just 3 Yoshi Coins in my level, so I added two.
- Added a bottom row.
- Changed the setup for the 3rd Yoshi Coin a bit (Screen A-B).
- Screen C: removed the part of the flower that caused a small cutoff.
- Fixed the passable block in Screen E.
- Gave all the necessary blocks in Screen E priority.
- Modified the springboard section in screen 10 a bit, as it was rather hard compared to the rest of the level.
4A
- Screen 2: A small modification for the last Yoshi Coin.
- Gave the sublevel a proper ending.
- Added some more coins here and there
As for the music, I think this one's rather good:
Dark Days
Rubble Ruins sounds awesome by the way, I would go for that one.
E: Ugh, forgot the IPS, wait a sec
E2: Got it!
E3: Ow, the glitch. Like the note block glitch, I could kill myself while going against the wall.
Okay, this should be better now. I'm not that good in designing choconilla levels.
@TheBassLP I really like what you are going for here! The mix of some grass and the background works pretty well. I would just add some more clouds, and a fake HDMA (or real HDMA) would top it off.
Keep it up, the theme is looking awesome!
EDIT: Progress! Sorry about the delay. My internet has been acting up lately.
Not sure what I want to put up in that chamber near the top of the screen. Any suggestions?
@OhHellNo: Officially marked complete! Thank you for designing a level. =)
@TheBassLP: Looks like you have the right sort of atmosphere here. Perhaps the BG could do with some fake HDMA in though, as Jonny said. Otherwise, it's looking sweet in terms of aesthetics. Hopefully the enemy choice and LD will be good too.
@Jonny: I like it so far. =) I espcially like the way the spike is placed in the middle of two stationary spikes like that. I think that's pretty cool. A bit of a complaint would be the rings though. I think they're good when used above platforms (as they are usually) but when they're introduced below platforms, they start to look a bit odd "floating" as so. Perhaps it's better to make it so that all rings are connected to something, where it be a wall or a platform. As for the hidden chamber, some coins could work there I think as well as a powerup perhaps?
Come back again, I guess.
So like, mind I claims level 10D, ExGFX180/181, sublevel 60, 61?
As for level's concept design, it will be an cavern ruin with a stonework and some factory stuff. (Possibly an underground complex of factory and might be inspired from DDV's W3 level.)
Hey JDC this hack is look really good can't wait until it is done.

Erm.. just going to post the progress of my level here.. Them level.
Looks pretty cool! I really like the lava in the BG, very creative. I have one big gripe, but only if the stationary grinders are hurtable. The level seems way too hard if they are, some sections would be near impossible.
Please do not copy one of Daizo's level ideas.
Um.. yeah, I scrapped up the level because it's way too similar to Daizo's level. So like, it's going to be an cavern ruins. *shrug* The cavern ruin.
I had no problems with the level itself. The problem I had was with the moving blocks inside the walls which both your and Daizo's level share unfortunately.
Sorry, I guess I shuold have made myself clearer there. Apologies.
Just going to post the progress of my level. The cavern ruin.
As for JDC's suggestion, I've removed the moving block.
The level itself looks really good, nice aesthetics and great looking palettes. But I think the level is way too cramped. Small Mario can beat this level a lot easier, which you should avoid. Powerups are to help you, not to make the level harder. I should move the ceiling 1 or 2 tiles higher at some points. Apart from that, it looks neat!
Okay, ich haven't got that much time so far. The Progress isn't even meh. I have to do a lot for school, and ich have applied for a big german smw hacking contest. I think that the level for this hack wouldn't be finished that fast, as i expected. I'm sorry for this.
I'm honestly very worried about the difficulty here. Thing is, it seems way too hard as it stands and not really suitable for the hack. Perhaps if you could tone down the difficulty a bit in both section 2 and 3, that'd be nice. Remember the difficulty of the level should match the other levels in W5 (roughly).
Good luck. =)
