Mushroom Kingdom Fusion and Super Mario Fusion have clashing graphics. No one cares. So does I Wanna be the Guy. No one cares. Smash Bros Flash and Crusade. No one cares. Same with Abobos Big Adventure. People don't give a toss, the only ones who do are basically nerds.

Wooow, I can't disagree more with you there, buddy. Now explain to me why the "average joe doesn't give a toss about them" while you just said a lot of people complain about it. You're contradicting yourself there. Who says a lot of people don't care about it? It isn't eye-pleasing and just looks rather unprofessional. And for the record, IWBTG didn't have that many clashes at all. And why would people be nerds if they simply dislike something? You're not making sense.

But yeah Silver, I hope you'll port it to a new ROM and fix that. Your hack would be a lot better if you could improve your design and remove those clashes. Good luck with it. ^_^

Not being contradictory. Think of it like this. How many million views does your average Brutal Mario video get on Youtube, how many likes?

Sure people on certain sites like this one and maybe in some cases Mario Fan Games Galaxy care about it, but the average person who watches videos online and posts about lolcats and whatever and watches Youtube poop or just plays games rather than hacks them doesn't care. For them its more like 'cool, my favourite music or graphics are in this game! Mario's killing Mega Man enemies in Kirby world!'

Besides, hacks don't have to be professional.

But enough of that argument. Also, silver should port his hack to a new rom like everyone said, I've had the same issue where one minor change caused the hack to glitch and crash on load, and it's fixable if you port it.
For gaming news and Wario discussions, check out Gaming Reinvented and Wario Forums respectively.

As for Mario's Nightmare Quest? Well, it's currently on Fusion Gameworks, ROM Hacking.net or the GCN at the moment.

Hey there, mister 'let's stop this argument because you have more valid arguments than me'. Yeah, let's continue this subject a little bit.

Yes, you are being contradictory. Most people here don't watch videos of lolcats, and most of us do play games. However, we also play hacks. And if we play a hack, we want a good hack. Just like you want a good boss. There is no difference between these cases. When a hack is bad, it doesn't get much attention, and graphics are a big part of that, and so is level design. Sure, older hacks like the examples you named got a lot of plays, but that is because they're good.

No, they don't have to be, it's just preferred that you have a decent hack. Please, stop trying to defend your point, you've got GvS and me here giving you more than enough proof that your point is completely invalid. You've obviously got a completely wrong vision of your average Joe on SMWCentral, because in fact people do care about Graphics just as much as everything else in their hacks. For a Mario hack, not only level design counts, but everything else around that too. Try to design a hack where everything is ignoring pretty much common sense, and see what people'll tell you.
I read the comments.

I played my hack, and I now understand...there are lots of clashes, OMG!
I should port the stuff from a new rom, because I also want to improve the level design, so it would be better.#w{=P}

Now I have a simply question: I exported all modified levels from my hack. Now how I can do to inserit them all at the same time in the new rom? I'm too lazy to open a level, save the level, close...open the level, save, close the level...I dunno if you got what I mean.

I'll may recode the bosses from scratch. It would be the best solution.

Again, thank you for all the tips and help you're giving me...if we go like this, this hack would be the best hack of the site!!#w{xD}
...impossible...#w{xD}

Oh, in the end...

Well, you can't really easily reinsert all levels at once (as far as I know, at least), sadly enough. However, it's good to hear you're willing to import everything to a new ROM and work more on your hack. I hope you can make something out of it!

Yes, you can; just use the Levels -> Import Multiple Levels from Files option in the File menu.

OMG!
If I have to port everything to a new rom...I WILL LOSE THE BLOCKS DATA!? I WILL LOSE THE OW!? I WILL LOSE THE SAMPLE BANKS SETUP!!?

Is there a way to save, atleast, the OW? It looks there's a lot of work...
You can't save the overworld to an external file, but you can transfer it from one ROM to another by opening the first ROM in LM, keeping the overworld editor open while opening the second one, and then saving the overworld. And you can easily reinsert all the blocks by renaming your .dbk file to the name of the new ROM and then using BTSD's Reinsert All option.

I don't think there's anything you can do about the sample banks, though.

I haven't get the OW thing...can you explain it again? Every time I try I fail!

Meh, for the sample banks I think I'll have to start from scratch...or maybe I can use other musics? There are some musical clashes too. So...

Last question: It's better to put the patches in the beginning or in the end?

Step 1: Open your old ROM in Lunar Magic.
Step 2: Open the overworld editor.
Step 3: Go back to the level editor window and open your new ROM (while still keeping the overworld editor open).
Step 4: Go back to the overworld editor and save the overworld.

Suggestion of the Day...

[Xkas] Perfect breakable bricks + Reverse - Your Brick Blocks, when I press the POW, the Brick Block turns in a Cement Block, So... this Patch is Better.

Cool! Thank you Reimu!

-eeh sorry, Blizzard Man! I was looking for a solution for that. ^^
Now my rom is 1% cooler!

ANNOUNCEMENT!
I'm looking for someone that can do a list of all the clashes. I dunno, every time I see a level I say "hmm, nothing wrong, no clashes". I need someone for that. If you want the job, just post here with the list, or send me a PM.
BAD NEWS!

After trying to set the rom work multiple times (and this glitched all the times!!) I announce that the fixed version won't be submitted. I'm sick of this, every time it glitch!#w{x(} I give up.

If the rom get rejected, I will fix the things that the moderator will say. Maybe some bosses, but no other things (I hope)

I'm sorry for this bad news, but I give up, I'm sick of this crap. I did all my best.
What glitch? I'm moderating your hack and I haven't found any glitch worth making a big fuss like that, except for the fact that the music crashes in accurate emulators, but that can be easily fixed by reinserting your music with addmusic 405.

At this point, I can't really tell if the hack is going to be rejected or not, since I'd need to play the whole thing, but I can tell you it's going in a good direction, and it's way better than LADM2. For now, all I have found that would warrant a removal were a couple of unfair segments and a midpoint (in muncher invasion) not working, nothing too hard to fix; then again I'd need to play your whole hack before I can decide if it should be accepted or not.

Thanks for taking care of my hack. Well, the version you have can't seem glitched, but if you try to edit one single level, even if moving a tile, this will result in glitch when in-game. Press the jump button and it's crash.

About the moderating hack, maybe a problematic thing is some of the bosses: some of them can be really REALLY difficult.

Aside from that, no glitches can be found-oh and some parts in the final level glitch too, always because of messing with freespace.

That's it for now. Ah, a little minor thing: your avatar is very CUUUTE!#w{=3}
I tried editing one of your levels, and it didn't crash when I pressed the jump bottom. Although if this happens to you it could be because of one of the patches you inserted or one of the tools you used; maybe you can find what's the problem if you port everything to a new ROM and check in after you insert any patches or use any tools. That wouldn't be warrant a removal anyway since player's aren't supposed to edit the hack while playing, and I don't think it would prevent you from fixing the midpoint in muncher invasion, since you don't have to move any tiles for that.

Anyway, I'll leave the unfair segments I mentioned in my last post here in case you find a way to fix the problem. The first one was in "Way to the fear", the fishing boo appears in the way of my jump, making it impossible to dodge it unless I know it's there. The second one was in the race against the koopa, the first two long jumps were really hard to perform.

Edit: regarding the bosses, the ones I've face up to now are ok. Trio was a bit hard but not impossible to beat, although if you feel unsure about him, maybe you can replace the flowers with mushrooms. My only complaint would be the boss in the world 1 castle, it was too easy and generic, it would fit better in the fortress, maybe you can swap him with the first Dark Mario.
Mr. Silver (LOL), you're giving up too easy, seriously, try again, no matter how often you need, but please try not like to see users giving up so easily something that is totally complete, because of a glitch.

But it's your hack, do what you want, but I would not give way.

I don't think so, since I tried 5-6 times porting everything to a new rom, and everything messed up.

Indeed.#w{=3} However, I'm terribly sorry for all the disappointments.#w{=(}

If I'll recieve another spell card, I'll may try again, but the chance of happening is 0,1%.
There's no use trying to port everything to a new ROM again and again when you've repeatedly stated it crashes on editing a tile. It's better to just port one thing at a time to figure out what's causing the crash. Then the problem will be easier to fix.
So, Silver, did you manage to find what was causing the problem?
