Your attention to detail is phenomenal, and you've got the level design to back it up. Those waterfalls look a little nicer now, but I think a paler, more transparent bluish color would be best. It gives the level that ethereal, misty, high-in-the-sky vibe.

In all seriousness, I can't see absolutely anything wrong about your screenies. I do think that you could tweak the diagonal Castle Rock a little bit because it doesn't find, uh... "natural" as the regular ones. Maybe that's just me, but I feel this because, maybe, of the internal pattern.

Well, is the little visual detail the dark-colored vines and chains right below the Castle rocks mimicking shadow? That looks good!

Another amazing-looking level here. The graphics and palette work put in here is still just as great as ever.

The only real nitpick I can see is that the ice blocks' outline seems a little odd, especially on their bottom and right sides. The way that the outline's that much darker than the rest of the ice block just throws me off a bit. Perhaps a little GFX edit to make sort of a slight transition between the outline and the rest of the ice block would help, I don't know. It doesn't really look bad at all, though; it's just...a little odd.

That's it, though. Everything else looks awesome, and this is an awesome hack in the making. #smw{:TUP:}

Does it look better now? Changed the cluster sprite to snow now and added some snow piles. Also edited the waterfalls and changed the ice blocks.





The ice blocks and waterfalls do look better, yes. I do think that something more could be done with the ice blocks with the transition between the outline and the rest of the block, but I don't want you to spend too much time just focusing on that. (And it could also just be me, and I wouldn't want to have something altered just because of personal preference...)

Overall, I think the level's still coming along nicely.

Awesome Underway, yeah, great modifications, but I guess the chains are a bit... strange, maybe the GFX of this can be other, maybe the Chains of the Airship of SMB3, just sayin'... great progress anyway :3
I love how you fill your levels with details. The level shown in these screenshots is one of the most beautiful levels I've ever seen, the background is spectacular.
I agree on changing the chains, I'd also suggest to add a shadow on the upside-down bushes, such as for the vines:

I've come because I'd noticed something odd. And that are the bushes/plants over/under Ice Blocks. It's really nonsense (not ugly, but strange).

But since no one is complaining about that... fine, I guess.
So as you can see this hack has been inactive for some time. Mainly because of the lack of motivation and my participation in the VLDC, but now I'm back and I really feel like I could start working on this for real again.

Today is the first day I picked up this hack again and somehow I felt like the OW wasn't the greatest, so I decided to make a new one. I also implemented Ladida's yoshi coin OW display patch, which shows your coins, score and if you collected all the yoshi coins in the level. I will probably use that later on in the hack, but I haven't decided on anything in particular yet.

So here is what I've got for the OW for now.



Screenshots of actual levels will come soon as well. As I said before, I think the old fun I had with this hack might have come back ^^
Looks good. Serene, and the ocean has that inviting tropical feel. No real comment other than that it's easy on the eyes, and fits well with your in-level aesthetic.

Yeah, it's looking awesome! Also, that clouds are Layer 3, right?

Tree in the lava, it's weird.
The tree leaves don't look good in a fiery environment such as that for obvious reasons, but otherwise this is looking pretty neat. Oftentimes I find your aesthetical taste to be sort of extreme, but your last couple of screens have actually pleased me a ton.

Looking forward to seeing some more progress on this.
I don't know... it looks nice but the environment doesn't make sense to be honest. I mean, how does a tree survive lava?! And how can a forest not be burning in a volcano?! Shouldn't a forest like this be, oh, like this?! =O

Technically, lava should be able to burn Mario rather horribly if he's anywhere close to it, but because this is a video game, this doesn't actually happen.
