"Friendly" reminder: Layouts

I've had several users complain to me - along with other moderators, I'm sure - about annoying CSS code and buttons that serve nothing of appeal, but more of a drastic annoyance to other users. Last time I checked, layouts were meant to be eye-pleasing, and make the user unique, not for wasting other users' time.

If your layout is nuked for having one of these buttons, or for another reason, you would be best to not repeat the same action twice. In most cases, if you are curious to know why your layout was nuked, you may PM me, or another mod, though it should be pretty apparent.

If you have one of these buttons/CSS annoyances/etc. in your layout, please remove it, or else your layout will be nuked. Remember, layouts are a priviledge, not a right.

It is clearly mark with a full warning of what it does. Honestly, if someone clicks it at this point, they probably deserve it.

EDIT: In the past, most button fads like this have not had lasting damage. However, at least Kaeru gave people two choices with his, plus he's a moderator, so most folks might expect something bad if they don't "suck up." No one expects an average user's buttons to really mess with them.

If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.

It wouldn't be frustrating if everone was literate enough to read "DO NOT CLICK" and the various warnings in my sig.

Hopefully this bullshit with putting things like nuke buttons and putting userbars/images on the tops of images will cease. I'm getting sick of this.

Also, if someone makes a second offense, will they get profile banned? (It wasn't stated in your first post).

This from the person whose posts are consistently littered with spelling and grammatical errors?

There isn't really such thing as a "Profile Ban" that we have access to.

Well, there is such a thing as "Layout Ban"... Adding a "Profile Ban" wouldn't be that hard.

You give me a warning with a time limit after I log out. Meaning a don't know about the warning. Meaning I have no idea when it will expire. Also meaning it is an unfair punishment.

I'm starting to get back up to the "this site sucks" rant I had a while back.

Meaning I didn't Layout Ban you, so don't whine about it to me. Besides, you have been getting on everybody's nerves for quite some time now, so I can't say I blame whoever banned your layout.
