Please, say anything you like about our hack, just be sure to play the version with Final Fix in it's name. There are no updates ready yet, but I just wanted to let you know that the first two levels in the Third World are playable in that version.

DOWNLOAD THE METALGEARHUNTER Fix Version of SMB SCORPION's Flash! SCORPION got a little impatient and submitted one where Mario starts at the END of the DEMO. I had enough of all HIS fixes and posted one of my own.

I don't get it, if you want that someone reviews your hack, then just wait, click on your hack in the "Hacks" section to see all reviews you got. If there aren't any reviews, then it means that your hack is bad.

Well, I've finished S.C.O.R.P.I.O.N.'s Fortress #2, here is a video. Sorry for no sound.

This isn't the full fortress, I forgot for it to go to the Midway Point room.

A little flashy for a fortress eh.
Second part sorta reminds me of Kraids area in Super Metroid.
Using savestates to beat your own levels in your hack*insert facepalm pic here*.
If it's the second fortress you might want to tone down the difficulty just a bit, having 3-5 venus's on like one screen is not good. Don't think I missed anything.

EDIT: I did miss something in the water part it's not goood when your status bar is going across the screen with the layer 3 goldfish. And when you go too high there is a bunch of glitchy animated tiles in the background.
Yeah, thanks for catching that... Also this is really the 7th fortress in the game, also that fortress is in the third world, this is just the Second SCORPION Fortress. We just need to wait for Pro 3 to send us the level he is making... He is a new hacker, but nobody said that it isn't a good idea to let him pitch in.

Yeah, the "Flash Fortress" is S.C.O.R.P.I.O.N.'s 2nd out of 4 fortresses in the Game. Sorry, but you cannot just be my hack partner to use my "Flash Fortress GFX", but if you want them to be available please post "I" in the new topic.
Well, a new demo is ready for try outs, with numerus Bug Fixes and the Screenshots are on it's page.
For those that like this hack, I have bad news.

For some strange reason the rom has crashed and there is no Updated Backup. So this hack will be canceled, but look around for Part 2, coming soon.
I just fixed the ROM and now it is NOT CANCELED, it will be finished soon.

Bowser statue GFX and your choice of palettes - with that, I mean some hindering white-red crystals (that seem to spit fire?) and especially the goal point - look bad to me.
Lava splashes look glitched.
Status bar palettes... they look a bit messy.

I personally don't like the bushes in the BG. I think that bushes don't belong in this kind of level type.
Oh, and as for the savestates... *cough*

For the rest, I've got nothing to say. It's alright. Lava's good, OW's pretty good, everything but the aforementioned look decent or good.

Haven't got a chance to play the hack, but I'm a sucker for any SMW hack that has some Tech/Futuristic design layed within.

From the looks of the videos, you guys have a good idea of what you want to do, and I hope this project sees the light of day. For real.

I'll put a review of the hack once I'm able to play it, instead of the 5,000 copies of Super Mario Odyssey available for download on this fine April Fools day.

You know, it's not really a good sign if you have that much trouble with your own levels...
I want to be honest: I really don't like what you're doing there. For example you really use every new sprite that gets submitted but you don't know HOW to use them. You take this one and this one and this one and place them somewhere in a level but you don't really see that they don't fit with the level. There isn't any particular special there, I'm not glad what turned out there.

Don't take this too hard but I wanted to post my opinion now so you have constructive criticism. You must get a feeling, you can't mix everything together that seems to be cool. Use the sprites and ExGFX wisely, FIX those ugly palette issues and for god's sake, let your hack beta test by others before submitting it. Take time for them, levels finished within 10 minutes can't be good, a good level probably takes up to one hour.

Honestly, today there are just bad hacks that are coming out.

That's a lie. No, it really is :S.
Levels that take one hour to finish = FAIL! The last castle... alright. But not just one of those regular levels. A normal level shouldn't take more than 5-15 minutes.

I dunno, the video made the level seem unpolished in some ways...

It's a shame your using the SMB3 music patch as opposed to actual custom music, since it would fit the level a lot better. The graphics didn't quite seem right either: YI is still rather cartoony for what appears to be a "dark" final world. There's some definite potential here, but it could be tweaked a bit more.

What Buu-Huu/Lady Bow said is true, it seems that you take every new custom sprite that's available without testing it properly in a level. Your hacks have glitches, bad palettes, bad level design and your "team" is getting a bad reputation because of this. It seems that you're always rushing to submit your hacks without playtesting your levels properly and checking what bugs they might have.

I suggest that you don't submit your hacks until you learn how to fix the various bugs that they have. Also, lurk around to see the various threads that might have useful information, especially the "Hack Submission Guidelines". Play the featured hacks so you can see how they use plots, level design, exgfx, custom sprites and custom blocks properly.

Take this in consideration. I'm being serious.
