Double post??
Oh my...

PLAY DEMO 9

If anyone want LP or have questions about my hack,PM to me!!
If you find the ??? or Under Maintance, this meaning that level isn't finished yet!!
your hack is broken after the intro you end on the world map on a place called egadd but when I enter the level I end up in the bonus room
I knew that anyone will say this!!
TRS have a same problem!!

PLAY THE FIXED,I THINK...

The three oldest versions of my hack have been deleted!!
Well Zampari. Many people have different styles of hacking but you really should watch out for yours. I easily noticed that you're a great Sonic, Mega Man and Mega Man X fan, but are you sure that make a hack just mixing these games, Mario, and some others is the best idea?

Result: Clashing, boring and unprofessional hack.

I think (that's just my opinion) you really should put more own ideas in a hack instead of just catching things from other games.
(And avoid crossovers).

(That's just my opinion. I'm giving it hoping you can make your hacks better. Maybe I'm not considering style. In this case, sorry)
I second Grate's opinion. I feel the same exact thing.

You don't really make original things by picking up the best things from each game and putting altogether in a SMW hack. You don't come up with original gimmicks, or offer the players a brand new experience. Everything we are seeing in your project is something that a lot of people might have already seen in original games.

Summing up: what players want are original ideas. We don't want darn awesome, epic ASM, graphics, music or whatever else just because they're well made and stuff. If you come up with original gimmicks and ideas, they should be very well received, no matter how simple they are.

My tip here is: give a chance and a space to your own creativity.

What's wrong with crossovers?
I think that crossover hacks works very well in some points!!

TSRPR:Uses a sonic reference!!
Brutal Mario:Uses several game references like megaman, seiken densetsu and romancing saga!!

Well,i saw some hacks with crossovers!!
I don't think this the problem!!
Yes but a lot of those hacks don't make the whole game with mix and match of soo many games.

Most reference levels are a single level where it is intended to be only that level,
And Brutal Mario was popular because years ago, hackers didn't focused a lot in professionalism. ASM was something known by very few people so the heavy ASM was almost everything in a hack. Nowadays, people know that the small things like creativity and professionalism makes a behemoth difference in the hack style and make the hacks be different from each other.

Ah, and I don't recommend you take games as Musics, Graphics, sprites or gimmicks font. Take other games as example, so you can notice that all of them has consistency.

And you CAN make references to other games, but be consistent and don't get away of professionalism and creativity.
Actually Brutal Mario always focuses more on style and gimmick of the level than in the level design, actually is a good thing, but for others is a bad thing, yeah, have a lot of Graphical Clashes, but the Gimmicks are Creative, your hack don't have this gimmicks (maybe the bosses, what good is having a good boss (like in VIP4) if the rest of the hack is bad? Think about it. Same for Gimmicks and another ASM realted things in the hack, that's all.

Actually not, You may be doing a good job, but only seeking inspiration from Japanese hacks, well not gotten anything.
Also, it's not recommended to plagiarize something from another hack (hint hint this screenshot) or then your hack may be unoriginal. Other than that, it seems to be good so far. Sorry if I sounded a bit rude on the first phrase.

Japanese hacks are epic.
I always wanted make hacks like this.

I learnt in Master Hand's Doomsday about not clash graphics or this hack will be senseless.
Grey Strikes Back is a sequel of Master Hand's Doomsday.I'm planning a remake of Master Hand's Doomsday someday, fixing some flaws, but not now.Just need finish Grey Strikes Back.

My hack itself doesn't have gimmicks, the bosses are the main thing of that hack.I'll insert the boss of World 3.

I feel bad that way!!
I just replaced the binary platforms with White and Black blocks!!

I'm just wondering why everyone doesn't help me in my hack...
And why don't play the demos of my hack, just for help me...
I feel a bit disappointed...
I know how you feel... I didn't played the hack yet because of time. But when I have time, I will play it and give feedback.

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

"Clashing/Inconsistent graphics" and "excessive crossovers" are far from the biggest problem this hack has, though those are issues of concern.

- The level design is still mostly lackluster, linear excursions and uses custom sprites as a crutch with what seems like the same level formula Master Hand's Doomsday used (Introduce a new enemy in the first half -> Use a completely different variety of enemies, usually Piranha Plants or Hammer Bros, in the second half.) Once again, it's like stuff was added into the game just because.
- The music is even MORE broken than ever with numerous secret exits having glitchy music because Roberto showed zero regard to Snes9x/bsnes/SNES players.
- Broken English again. Seriously, get someone who can speak English fluently.
- Music doesn't fit the setting of many levels.

You actually shouldn't feel bad for that, because we're actually giving you feedback and criticism. And you shouldn't take critiques as an offense. They should be taken as details you might want to look again, revise and rework.

And I have actually played your provided demo so I could give a less superficial opinion by just looking at screenies.

To MrDeePay:

Not again, since Master Hand's Doomsday, you was rude,as Alessio said before. If think that hack is so bad,why don't play the demos of my hack and give feedback? You must stop with this,do you understand? And one thing:I test my hacks in ZSNES!!

To Q-Bee:

Renember when i send PM for everyone? That must be the reason why want everyone playing my hack, just for everyone report the flaws of my hack.I think that submit this for SMWCentral must be a good way.Tell me Q-Bee,i have a question for you:

-In a progress hack,i should...

A)Put screenshots,for everyone see
B)Put a demo,for everyone play

Renember that hack have a special world.
If you played my hack, tell me what think about this!!
I got your point, but demanding people to playtest the hack isn't really good. We mostly playtest hacks when we have interest on how the final product could look like.

By default, you should post in your thread and ask for feedback, but not PM people demanding them to do so.

B is optional, but A is a requirement, since nobody will be interested on playing something that they don't know how it does look.

----------

Well, the main opinion I have about the hack was already pointed in this previous post of mine.

Also, given the current progress of your hack, we can't really help in the literal meaning of the word, as it's almost finished. The best we can do is to actually give our opinions. Do remember that feedback is also a type of help when constructively made.

That's it for now.

----------

Sidenote:

Everybody here (myself included) just pointed issues and bad things about the hack. So, let's do this way:

> Let's play his demo once again. Then, let's point out the good things about his hack. He'll feel better and will be able to reflect better about the issues. Shall we?

Oh look, "rude", it's that buzzword said again by people who take offense to things too easily. Being direct isn't being "rude"; this crap isn't a black and white ordeal like many of you people like to think it is. It is amusing that you reference a guy that told me to get laid all because of my style of feedback.

SNN and Supertails also called your Master Hand's Doomsday "42 sprite test rooms" and "mediocre at best". Are you going to lash out at them too?

What do you think this was? This hack implies that you have not bothered with the criticism you got from Master Hand's Doomsday and just gave that a different coat of paint. Virtually anything anyone said about that hack can easily apply here.

And one thing:I test my hacks in ZSNES!!

That's a fatal mistake you've done. ZSNES does not emulate the SNES' sound correctly while emulators such as a SNES9x and bsnes actually do. This shows especially even without any form of custom music when Mario jumps, spin jumps, shoots a fireball, a power-up emerges from a block, and even gets said power-up. When playing Grey's Revenge, I got scratchy/no music in numerous secret exit rooms, defeating the Spiny boss, entered the special/star world, and tried playing the Ghost House level with Kylie Koopa at the beginning. I bet that if I tried to play any of those on an inaccurate emulator (for SMW, at least) such as ZSNES, none of those problems would arise.

But I should not be forced to downgrade from my emulator of choice just to play something today. AM4 was released twenty months ago and that is way more than enough time for hacks being worked on and released today to not have broken music.

roberto listen to MrDeePay he can give you good tips that you can use and he's not rude at all.
And please don't listen to anything Alessio says regarding people being rude in the future.
Your layout has been removed.
Sorry if I am interferring with that, but I should say this:

Even if MDP sometimes sounds a little rude, you should at least follow his advice instead of following advice of people whose task is to defend you because they think "rude" is a word for a certain person but at least they are giving a helpful advice.

See my second phrase. As people above said, you should test your hack not only in ZSNES, but in accurate emulators as well (BSNES and SNES are good emulators in this).

You shouldn't expect attention by PMing/asking people as a way of getting them to play your hack everytime. If people have the feel to play a hack, they do so without any bothering. If you ever want to improve more on your hack, just do what people (me included) said.
While I'm still working on it, I'm going to try and give a quick blurb for every level I can find in the game. No one else is going to bother to take the time to do it for you, and you need some more specific help than say, MDP's post. No matter how good those posts are, you need to know how to fix every single individual level.

It's right here. I'll update it as often as possible.
