It only updates when Haley's comet appears.

Basically, it's a Linux appliance on a CD that contains plenty of useful tools. It features:

* Easy to use GUI, lightweight too
* Basic hacking utilities (more added on request)
* All 3 major emulators
* openSUSE 12.2 based

You should use it if:

* You want a completely self-contained toolkit for hacking.
* You need a disposable environment for hacking - shut down your PC, reboot, eject CD, you hacked without leaving a trace.
* Easy way to bring all the tools to grandma's house.

ROMs are not included, obviously. Supply it yourself through USB/network.

A nice thing to have, But will it fit on USB also?

Also, What about fitting these in your distro, if not already:

DOSBOX (v0.74) for Batch Files
WINE for 32bit Windows EXEs
MONO for .NET Executables

NESDEV is also working on a thing like this, By the way...
wine w/ wine-mono is included, and tools should Just Work (TM) - actually native Mono was included too, but Wine handled it too just fine, so I got rid of it.

Batch files are made out of cancer, herpes and AIDS and should never be used; they won't co-operate with wine either, if I recall

Because claiming something is shit without offering a superior alternative is always constructive.

And because claiming WINE can't run batch files properly is totally relevant when DOSBox is suggested.

#!/bin/bash

Also wine can run batch files, who wants to use a batch file? You can easily summon terminals by right-clicking in the desktop. Shell scripting is far more powerful and useful.

Shell scripting is also messy in windows, For example, If you've ever used MinGW and MSYS (and/or Cygwin), The Results lead to a very big pile of mess, I learned this the hard way,

I am thinking of seperating Windows stuff from Linux by using an actual Linux build (Possibly Ubuntu or Debian since I have a spare computer that needs reformatting.)

May try this before installing though, if Internet is availible in it, that is!
I don't recommend using the testdrive; no audio or networking and super-laggy on lousy connections. I suggest using a VM or a spare PC, works a lot better.

can you have multisession CD/DVDs with this?
at least live CD OSes will work no problem on Windows 8. And since it has all three emulators how can you go wrong you can't this might be the answer to my prayers! Downloading it I am so downloading it!
