Sonic the Hedgehog Edited

Since I sux at Super Mario World hacking, I decided to hack Sonic the Hedgehog for a change. So, I present my first ever Sonic 1 hack! It consists mainly of music and palette edits, though I did make some of the boss battles harder. Unfortunately, I forgot to take some screenshots :( (But I promise I will have some tomorrow.)

BTW I was tempted to post the direct output, but I decided against it and decided to post an IPS file instead.

So, without further ado, here it is: Sonic the Hedgehog Edited!

EDIT: I have some screenshots now. However, they are in TGA format. And I had to zip them. And that means they must be downloaded. And that means I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Looks pretty interesting, though its a bit annoying I had to open up photoshop in order to view you screenshots. Why can't you convert them to png or something in stick them in your file storage here on the site if you need too.

NOTE: These screenshots are not from the latest version, which I will probably get to releasing around Monday.

EDIT: Note to self: Fix water surface palette in SRZ and make those pillars/blocks in MTZ less red.

ANOTHER EDIT: I also need to fix the final boss music (too low-pitched).
(wait, I already did that (by using an entirely new song #smw{:trollface:} ), will be in Monday's patch.)

Whoa bro! I really like what you've got going here. It reminds me of when I hacked Sonic the Hedgehog. I made a level similar to the autumn one as well as one like the blue castle. (First and Second Screenies) Ah good times.
Sorry I didn't respond on Monday like I promised, but I've been barred from any form of computer access until just now.

Anyway, I have the new patch, and this one actually works! (I just discovered my first patch was broken.)

Here it is.

Changes:
• New palette for Orange Hill Zone
• Minor changes to Star Light Zone palette
• New palette cycling for Egg Base Zone
• New title screen palette
• New bad ending text (just play the game to see it)
• Minor changes to Sonic's mappings
• Sonic's pallete has been changed to Sonic's pallete from Sonic 2 with minor changes to make it fit in
• New music
• And much more.

Known issues:

• The ring counter in Orange Hill Zone still flashes cyan instead of red
• What used to be the Sonic Team Presents screen now says Deɐed2 Presents (in caps) due to lack of a V in the font
