A police pursuit of some bank robbers in Southern California takes a turn for the absolute weird when they start throwing money out of the windows of their SUV. Residents and bystanders get in on this and pour into the streets to pick up the money. After the guys are stopped, people begin swarming the scene chanting WE WANT MONEY and cheering, bringing traffic to a grinding halt. Someone even jumps in the SUV in hopes of netting extra cash but seems
to turn up empty-handed - cops are still looking for her; I don't think they care about the randoms who ran out into the street to pick up money.

This is funny as hell, even if it did make a situation even more dangerous. I think that the world would be a better place if every robber who ends up in a police pursuit just throws their stolen money out there since they're going to jail for a long time anyways.
It probably wasn't meant as a gesture of kindness, more of a "let's slow the cops down" thing, but it's still really cool.
