@Sinc-X I like it! It reminds me of the music of Contra III.

Also, once again, I write for something and it ends up not really fitting what I wrote it for in the first place.
I may have taken some inspiration from Gamma's Theme in Sonic Adventure, and Buster Beetle's sky theme for SMWCP2, which probably explains why I like how it came out so much. :/

@Daizo: lol trololol (I mean, I do this all the time). That's just a way I look at item babysitting, and why I hardly ever force its usage. When I use so, it's mostly to get bonuses like Yoshi Coins, 1ups and such. Yep, that's subjective.

@Sinc-X: Yes, do it just like I did in my first post (a.k.a the second thread post quoted by Moose). I'll sign you up for the song and let the level slot open. Unless somebody claims it in the meantime, it will be yours, then.

@myself: Where's DarkBones and the Mountain tileset? It's been almost a month. If until 20th he still isn't done, I'll talk to 1UPdudes and see if he's willing to lend a hand. And man, I couldn't code the Puffer yet. But that's because I'm currently designing a level for SMBS2 (xImseiken3's team hack).

Guys, Buried Alive accepted me to edit his Hell Valley Level. But it'll take longer for me to actually begin working on it. I've never been so busy, from my job to SMW hacking.

But pretty nice anyways. It's not eerie enough to fit a ghost house, but it just does it fine fitting an ice cave level. I'd love to insert it. When possible, send me your TXT file.

I've decided that I'm going to hold off on the composition for now until the W1 castle is finished, so I can base the music around the level (it wouldn't really fit to have a dark, mischievous song playing in a happy fun time castle and vice versa).

I've finished my level which was "Honey Forest 1". Here are some new screenshots:


I hope this level isn't to hard for world 3, but I do think it is D:
Well, let's see what you think.
It has 10 screens in hex (yeah, it's short and hard) and is about berrys, pitching chucks and lotus flowers. I think it introduces the forest world pretty well in terms of atmosphere and style. There's no custom music yet. The level includes climbing nets and a small puzzle.

Pretty good! I have one major issue.


This one jump was impossible for me to pull off (the jump up from the net to the next net. I would suggest making the top net bigger.

I felt the secret exit was uninspired, it was pretty much Item Babysitting.

The Volcano Lotus' felt a little like false difficulty.

Other than that, it was great! It had atmosphere in droves, and the Pitchin' Chuck never seemed too hard (a worthy accomplisment!).
