What happening with the Hub?

No one has picked it up yet. The rest of the hub still needs to be designed. I just talked to Lui a few days ago about the Jukebox thing, and I guess he is kinda still working on it....I think

IF you think you are up to it, go for it. The main entrance is already done its the inside of the building that needs to be finished. Kinda check over the thread and see any idea that have come up you may want to try and incorporate. Lui37 is already handling the Jukebox portion, so no need to worry about that, but it will need GFX.

It's not as simple as that.

It's the HUB of the hack. It's not much of a regular level, but ala Yoshi's House.

Anyways, instead of a house you have a building (which is already made in level 1)

All that there's left to do (aside from graphics) is create the inside of the building.

Two floors and a roof seems good enough.

Anyways, doors are scattered inside the building. These doors are unlocked by a certain amount of SMWCP coins (a block has been made for this) and contain prizes and whatever - increasing in value as more smwcp coins are used.

Maybe we can make it ten rooms for 4A and 4B (maybe the total amount of coins you get in World 4 is a bit to overkill for a mere Fire Flower?) So yeah - getting all coins in a world adds up to the amount you need to unlock a room.

I can't do graphics, music, nor the NPC's. Someone else has to deal with that if I were to work on this.

Stop trying to do everything yourself, then. You can't do graphics, music, or the NPCs? Leave those to someone else! Stop worrying about them and just work on the overall design, and then let someone else do the graphics. Heck, you don't even need graphics to begin. Just put in some dummy Map16 tiles using the solid-color blocks on the first page of 8x8 tiles and design with that.

If you want, I could probably do the music for the hub. Just give me the general feel the music should have (laid back, happy, peaceful, smooth, etc.), also whether or not I should incorporate Todd's motif, as after all, it IS the hub.

I can definitely do GFX for the Jukebox, but there'd need to be some kind of list of what there needs to be done.

I'm aware of this, but that is what needs to be done, right? The design of the HUB as well as the graphics. I can do that.

Well that doesn't really help me. If you want to design it, it's your call. I can do graphics if you were up for the job.

...if my calculations are correct, this is how the doors will unlocked.

Currently W7 is weird. I want it to unlock something, but the museum idea is just to much work. What I'm planning to do is utilize the never-used feature of the Bonus Magician, essentially utilize him in a maximum of three mini-games. And probably one where you can farm lives (if you play it over and over).

The Boss Hall is just a hall of doors that lead to each of the bosses in the hack.

Alright. I just want the greenlight on this and I'll work on this. Again - the graphics I have is not enough to cover everything, so I'm just building everything in cement blocks and whatever.

I fine with that (just don't change your mind again >.> ).

Gregor seems to be very interested in helping, get a hold of him so he can help you out with this also

I apologize.
It seems like it is true it's too much for me to handle, even without the handles on graphics and such. I genuinely did want to work on this and tried to get stuff done, but no matter what I do it seems like I run into problems.

I'll be keeping my word on this, this time. I feel awful getting people's hopes up.

These blocks needs CoinDefines.asm to be in the same folder (which it should be, and which I assume you have access to).
Just copy that code and adjust the two defines for each door you want - and as always, notify me if I've made a stupid mistake somewhere and I'll look into it.
