Nostalgic Moments when you were younger.

SMWCentral users, have you ever been to nostalgic about certain events in your past childhood. like me when I was about 11 years old who was enjoying my time in 6th grade, and man it was an incredible experience. How you ever felt that similar way?
Nostalgic was when I've found all 96 exits in SMW when I had my SNES, and when I've found all 120 stars in SM64 when my cousin had its N64.

I also miss 2010, when I was at 1st grade high school. All girls liked me... but I had a girlfriend, which 3 months later we started our relationship, decided to break. I've accepted it nicely, but then, I've lost all my chances with all other girls...

Nonetheless, nice times.

That's gotta be hard to deal with man.
I think my nostalgic moment when I was younger was my fun at 3rd grade, it was way better than the 8th, which is quite complex to me. Also, I had a "girlfriend", but not really a girlfriend, when I was younger, but I don't know what happened to her.
Windowless ride, feeling alive
Are you alive or just breathing?
I remember having a crush on a girl, and she liked me back, and both of us were too shy to make a serious move, and I sent her a sweet card, and we never talked again because now it was really awkward, and she moved to North Carolina, and this year I went down there and she wasn't special to me anymore.

Good times, good times.
I'm nostalgic about anything I can remember about my childhood. Some events are more nostalgic than others, like ones about fun times.

At night when I can't sleep, I just stare at the ceiling and recount nostalgic tales. Good times.
My most nostalgia moment was 101-percenting Donkey Kong 64 when I was 6.

I was so happy.
Memories of growing up in Maryland and later, Italy.

I can't go back to Italy now, but whenever I'm at Maryland, I get a constant good feeling in my heart that only subsides when the time comes for me to return to Virginia.

Sometimes, I find myself lost in thought remembering the view of Mt. Vesuvius from my old Italian house, and cursing my six-year-old self for not appreciating it when I had the chance.

I do so want to go back there. #ab{;_;}

So, so, so, so many:
-Not wanting to get far in the SMAS version of SMB2 because I was scared of Phanto
-My first playthrough of DKC, it took years to get from the beginning of the game to Snow Barrel Blast. Since getting the Wii VC, it took, I think, like a week or so to beat the main story of DKC2 my first playthrough.
-Renting video games and movies at this defunct video game rental store called Roadrunner video.
-Drawing fictional video game levels and roller coasters on my Magna Doodle, before I ever heard of ROM hacking and No Limits.
-Drawing stuff on my Magna Doodle all the time (a Magna Doodle is a drawing toy that uses an attached magnetic pen and a plastic screen. There is a similar toy called Doodle Pro).
-Actually being excited about going to the Kentucky Kingdom amusement park, before I'd been so many times and did almost everything there for the umpteenth time that it became a bore, with no more new rides.
-Playing Sokoban in the computer lab at school during free time in elementary school.
-When I got Pokemon Red version for my tenth birthday (how fitting). It was real engaging.
-As a kid I was scared to ride most amusement park rides, roller coasters, and anything that went upside down because I had (and still have) an actual phobia of vomiting (well, I'd call it a phobia). I think deep down inside, I actually did want to ride them. I just didn't want to risk the slightest chance that I might vomit. Turns out that before I can even remember, I took some kind of test that determined that I am a lot less susceptible to motion sickness than a lot of people.
-Watching animated Disney movies all the time, which is how some of them I can still feel like I can memorize dialog spoken in the exact way right before someone says something.
-Playing old DOS 2D platformers on Windows 95 (Jill of the Jungle and its sequels, and Commander Keen).
-Watching cartoons every Saturday morning, on either FOX kids or Kids WB, or both (still do, but not as much, and usually just to watch My Little Pony Friendship is Magic).
-Being subscribed to Highlights magazine.
-Watching early morning shows on weekdays (Mighty Max, Mummies Alive, The Wacky World of Tex Avery, Pocket Dragons, Beast Wars).
-Collecting Beast Wars transformers toys. I remember getting Clawjaw, the squid, Razorclaw, the crab, Inferno, the fire ant, Manterror, the preying mantis, Silverbolt, the eagle and wolf hybrid, and several others).
-The summer after I turned 8, we took a big vacation to Cleveland, Ohio. We hit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sea World, and Geauga Lake (RIP Geauga Lake). This was way before I became a ride warrior, so I didn't ride any of the roller coasters there (well, I've since ridden Firehawk at Kings Island, which was relocated from Geauga Lake, so does that count as having ridden a Geauga Lake coaster?)
-The first summer where I was officially a teenager, we took an excursion to Gatlinburg, Tenessee, and checked out Ripley's Aquarium and Ripley's Believe it or Not museum.

Christmas time as a child brings back the most memories. It was favorite holiday and I looked forward to it every year. I loved everything about the holiday season; seeing the decorations, going to Christmas parties, watching Christmas specials on TV, and spending time with family. Just everything about the atmosphere of that time of year made me happy. Of course, I loved getting gifts the most. I handed off lists to family members and would eagerly await Christmas morning in anticipation of receiving the gifts I asked for and any other surprises. I got a lot of memorable gifts on Christmas, namely video games, such as Yoshi's Island, Game Boy, Pokemon, game.com (okay that one wasn't very memorable).

I don't look forward to the holidays the same way as I used to because that childhood magic is gone. I'm not religious so I don't have that kind of attachment to Christmas.
Playing 200 hours of Banjo-Tooie and Kazooie, finding every little last secret and using sweethax-cheats-365.de on The Google to find out all the cheat codes.

Man I miss the N64 era.

man, 200 hours, I bet I spent a year awake on those games!

I remeber hooking up to interent via phone-modem, searching for stop n' swop. I was blessed when I got the codes to work in the game!

Are You a Demon or What? Kidding...

My Nostalgic Moment is Similar of Q-bee, when I found all 120 Stars in SM64, uhh yeah...
All our best moments involve video games .. is that bad?

I'd say that back in 2005 when I was seven was probably the best time period of my life. I have great memories of sitting down with old friends I don't have anymore and playing DKC. We 100%'d all three of them, and finishing the third one was the happiest moment ever.

Doesn't everybody?
I can actually list them all:

- 6th Grade
- Thomas the Tank Engine
- LEGO
- Bionicle
- "Take On Me" by A-Ha
- The girl I had a crush on in kindergarten (I actually said I'd marry
her. Ha! I was a cute little bugger, wasn't I?)

That's pretty much me: it was the most magical moment of my life until I aged 10. Everything gets so colorful and cheery (despite there's no snow in my country, it would be even better if there was), and when I used to go shopping in Christmas in shopping malls and see all that fancy decoration, preparing all the Christmas decorations at home... it was awesome...

Also, as some have already said, playing my first games: Pokémon, Mario (still remember my thrill in trying to find the secret exits in SMW and hear that mysteryous theme when you put the key into the keyhole), some SNES RPG's, Zelda (I still remember the first time I played Ocarina of Time: it was Easter and me and my brother rented it for his N64. We started playing it with mouths open looking at those great ambiances while eating some Easter eggs... nice), Crash 3, etc.

Playing with my childhood friends (most of them are still good friends of mine).

Watching old, but good-quality anime's: Pokémon (1st season), Digimon (1st season), Medabots, Dragon Ball, Sakura Card Captors...
I loved to be younger. I miss alot my school friends I spent my time with (I still meet many of them regularly, but still). I'll never forget that one best friend who kept telling me lies about SMW. He kept saying he had finished it and there were really awesome things after Bowser, but one time I catched him liying. XD

Other than school, there were the moments with my cousins. There still are, in fact, but we all grew up (the guy completed 11 on april 1st, and the girl completed 11 too on october 31st - I'm serious, really) and it's not as fun as it used to be. Or is it. I dunno, it's been a time all of us don't get together.

Yes, I also have nostalgic moments related to games. I loved to play SMW with my cousin and even with my mom. I wish I still had my SNES console. #smw{T_T}
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
I have no nostalgic memories, because I just don't remember most of my youth. But somehow there's certain songs that make me feel nostalgic, although there's no way that I could ever have heared them before when I was younger. Strange, but pretty cool, I guess.
My nostalgia memories with gaming was mostly PlayStation stuff, because I was born in late-early 90s ('94), my grandmother told me recently that I actually had an Atari 2600, but probably my mothers. SNES console I would always quote as "the Super Nintendo my mother had" to this day, Sega Genesis (I think my uncle had this, but it was over our house), Then that amazing 7th birthday on 2000, I was gifted with the Sega Dreamcast bundle that had Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2: The Trial along with a blue VMU. Amazing is that I still have this console today, except I had to buy another copy of Sonic Adventure and another Dreamcast controller on eBay.

With PlayStation, it was a HELL of a lot of sample CDs, the ones filled with demos of the hottest games coming soon! (Yeah, I was poor at the time, and also the same with Sega Dreamcast, most of all of the games owned were the demo CDs) I still have the PlayStation system I had since the first day I got one. I also bought a PSOne (Slim PlaytStation) 2 years ago on ebay. The controllers... I will never forget this.

I bought a lot of games for the PS1 that didn't support (as far as I knew at the time) DualShock, like Crash Bandicoot and Parappa The Rapper, but I had a DualShock at the time. I actually chewed on the analog sticks. ALL of the time I was playing a game. It was the rubber parts where you would your thumb to move it around. I actually chewed it so much that the rubber cover came off. I know, I'm pathetic. :D

I had a Pizza Hut demo disk, and I faintly remember that I got it from an actual Pizza Hut. It had the "Sorry, Try Again' sealed on it, because it was a contest for you to win $1,000 (I THINK, it explains it in the FMV), but yeah.

Pretty much my gaming nostalgia. There's a lot more, but don't wanna bore anyone.

Now for my IRL nostalgia.
Mother dies in 2002 from breast cancer. (wow, great start. >_>)
Abusive stepfather takes my stepbrother away and never seen him for 4 years (from 2002-2006)
Never had a girlfriend, or ANY friends.
Lived with aunt and uncle for 3-4 years. Abusive assholes.
Half of my closest family members are dead.

So far, I say it's been modest at best. (modest = Train wreck of a life)
