I am working on the last level of the cold land,a cold fort in a high cloudy land (halfway done and need a boss,an ultimate noob boss) here some screens:

Just started the first level of the cold land (Bg is kind of Super mari bros all stars like) :

The BG looks a bit empty, would you mind to put in it more stuff, if you can?

Here the Bg changed in the fort on the cold island,which is the last level there and so after the boss battle Mario will press the switch:




Well thinking what could I make something with Ultimate Noob Boss.
Now it's better. It don't clashes now.

Maybe you can use the other BG when you use a redrawn-ish FG...if you'll use it.#thp{^_^}

Just made a very cool level: The pyramid! First it's a little dessert part then Mario goes inside a pyramid ,Mario is forced to be small there because no feather powerups there because you need goombas to break the turnblocks,then after escaping dangerous traps he will fight the Pumpkin Man and then press the switch! Screens:

It's actually pretty good looking right now. Got no real complaint here, but what happens if you kill every goomba in the stage? Maybe you should add a reset door or a goomba generator.

The palette on the outside part of the level seems a bit too bright for me, but it's ok.

Overall, the level itself looks neat by judging from the screenshots.

I don't remember well, but when LADM1 got rejected for the first time, there was this reason, but not as majority ones, of course.
Why Mario have to get hurt in order to pass this part? It doesn't look very...uh..."professional"...
I can suggest using this block,or this, even better!

I will darken the palette!

And about the Mario must be small,I meant that maybe he has a feather and he will just break the turn blocks,so he will get small and then have a mushroom,but not a feather because yeah he will take a goomba (goomba shooter) and to break the turn blocks!

This is a perfect Idea,I have done it without saves,and always test my levels without saves.

Ah, only the cape is dangerous for breaking the level?

In this case, put a Flower Power at the same place of Mario entrance. This would kill the goombas, but you said you've put my goomba shooter (is the one I made you long ago???), so it'll be fixed if you do this.

Remember: forcing Mario to be small using muncher isn't very cool.
